The chef and general manager of Rye Bar & Southern Kitchen, Michael Rigot brings over 20 years of culinary
experience to the table. After graduating from the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, he worked in the kitchens of
many prominent hotels across the Southeast. While at the Westin Birmingham-Sheraton Hotel in 2010, he
was named Chef of the Year by the Alabama Hospitality Association. Rigot's seasonal menus feature

MENU TASTING
Once a contract is signed, we will be delighted to set up a time for a menu tasting (up to 4 guests), recommended within 60 days
prior to your wedding. Your Marriott Certified Event Professional will discuss a convenient time during the planning phase,
scheduled Monday through Friday during non-peak meal hours. Cocktail items and buffets are not included as a part of your
tasting.
MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES
There may be additional charges to consider when planning your wedding. These charges may include, but are not limited to:
children’s meals and vendor’s meals, power and extra staging for band set-up.
DEPOSIT
A non-refundable deposit equal to 30% of the total estimated revenue is required to confirm your date. We also require full
payment plus a 20% overage (based on the food and beverage minimum) 7 business days prior to your wedding.
OUTSIDE VENDORS
As a policy of the hotel, all vendors contracted by our clients must follow the hotel’s procedures at all times, including appropriate
times to set-up and strike your function, loading dock hours, fire codes, noise limitations, etc. Contact names and information are
to be given to the Event Manager for each vendor. Hotel will not be responsible for any items brought into the hotel by contracted
vendors.
SERVICE CHARGE & SALES TAX
25% taxable administrative fees and current sales tax applies to all charges, including food, beverage, rental, audio visual and
miscellaneous fees. Taxes are subject to change. Service charge is subject to taxes.
GUEST COUNT & MINIMUM COMMITMENT
Your final guarantee is due 7 business days prior to the event. At that point, it is possible to increase the guest count number but
not reduce the number below your final guaranteed count. If guests exceed the guarantee, appropriate charges will be incurred
and every attempt will be made to accommodate the overage with a comparable meal.
MARRIOTT DÉCOR & ENTERTAINMENT
Your wedding at the Raleigh Marriott City Center will include white or black cotton linens and napkins, standard hotel chairs for
your ceremony and reception, votive candles, stemware, flatware, dance floor and staging. Up lighting is available on site, at an
additional cost. Any special décor, such as upgraded linens, centerpieces, chairs or entertainment may be consulted with your
Event Manager, or provided by a vendor of your choice if not selected as one of our upgraded packages.
TECHNICAL SERVICES
On Services is Hotel’s provider for audio/visual needs. Because the use of another provider will necessarily involve the use of
some of Hotel’s and On Services’ equipment and expertise, a prevailing fee will be charged if you select such a provider. Hotel
has exclusive power and rigging rights and additional fees can be incurred for power (fees will depend upon the set up needs).
MARRIOTT REWARDS
Marriott Rewards points can be earned after your event. You will receive 3 points per catering dollar (food, beverage, and audio
visual), excluding sales tax and service charge. The maximum points earned are 50,000 per event. Points earned will be applied
after the event. Please provide your Marriott Rewards 9-digit account number, name, address and phone number. If you are not
a member of the Marriott Rewards Program, you can enroll by call 1-800-450-4442 or online at MarriottRewards.com
FOR YOUR GUESTS – REDUCED GUEST ROOM RATES
The Raleigh Marriott City Center is pleased to offer reduced guest room rate for Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday, based on
availability for guests attending your event. Guest room rates do not include breakfast or taxes and will vary depending on room
availability at time of contracting.
FOR YOUR GUESTS – GIFT BAGS/ BASKETS
If you choose to provide your out of town guests with a Welcome Gift Bag/Basket, we will be delighted to deliver these to your
guests the evening of check in. We ask that bags/baskets be delivered the Wednesday prior to check in and not be name
specific. We also offer a complimentary table near the front desk if you would like guests to pick up bags at check in. Please,
coordinate with your Event Manager.
