Parent Information Evening It was great to see so many parents at the Parent Information sessions held last Tuesday night. We had lots of positive feedback about our wonderful new facilities and lots of information was provided about teaching and learning programs and class organisation and routines. If you were unable to attend, please ensure that you get a copy of the Stage Newsletter and any other notes from your child’s mentor teacher. Don’t forget, if you have any queries or concerns you can organise a meeting with your child’s mentor teacher for a mutually convenient time. OSHC Tender As you are aware, the Licence agreement provisions for the school’s Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) service expired on 31 December 2018. In accordance with NSW Department of Education guidelines, an open tender process was initiated. The outcome of the Tender has been recently released with The After School Klub (TASK) being awarded the licence to operate on the school site. The Tender evaluated the capabilities of each respondent in relation to the advertised criteria. TASK was identified the most suitable service provider. TASK has an excellent record in OSHC service provision. Details regarding the organisation can be found at https://www.task-kids.com.au Please note that there should be no disruption to the service and there will be a transition process implemented over the next two months. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tanya Buick (Tanter Enterprises Pty Ltd) and her staff for their contribution to the school community over the years. From The Library… Library lessons will commence this week in our new library which looks fabulous. There is a multitude of learning spaces and even a production studio which will be used for filming and video editing.

Major Capital Works Update Work continues on the regeneration of the backfield and laying of our two courts. On the school side of the fence, work continues on unpacking of resources and completion of unfinished items. School Calendar Major events, weekly assemblies and sport events to be held during Semester 1 have been published on the school website. Whilst we endeavour to keep this up to date, please always check the calendar information in the Rambler to ensure that you have the latest information. Library Friday The P & C will be hosting their first Library Friday next Friday. Come along and help out with some jobs, have a coffee and biscuit, and chat with other parents. Library Friday is held in the Library immediately after the 9am bell. We know that many parents work and are unable to attend so make sure you have signed up for the Class Parent program to keep on top of your class’ news. BYOD The BYOD program commences for students in Stage 3 next week.

Kiss and Drop A reminder that the Kiss and Drop Zone operates under the same conditions as no parking zones, which means you may stop to drop off or pick up children for a maximum of 2 minutes. You're required to remain in, or within 3 metres of, your vehicle. Significant fines apply for breaking the rules.

Ethics Classes For Non-Scripture Students Did you know that Ethics classes are available for non-Scripture students? There is information about these classes on the Primary Ethics website (https://primaryethics.com.au/). Please contact the RSPS Ethics Coordinator, Griselda Buckland ([email protected]), if you have any queries and/or if you are interested in volunteering to be an Ethics teacher. We currently need one more teacher to provide Ethics classes to students in Year 4 onwards in 2019.
