TRANSCRIPT
Dear Sir/Madame, Firstly, thank you very much for your consideration. I am confident that upon reading my resume, you shall find me a highly qualified applicant with a valuable skill-set. With a firm belief that Australia is geographically, politically and economically situated to benefit from the Asian Century, I have recently completed a Masters degree in the field of Asian Studies. This education has provided me with a valuable grounding in international relations, foreign policy, political culture and anthropology, in both an international and an Asia/Australia context. My high grades (a perfect GPA of 7, recipient of a Griffith Award for Excellence, and awarded as the top student in six of my eight classes) demonstrate that I am very results oriented, motivated by success, and able to work strategically and effectively towards goals. I am unwilling to compromise on quality, always pursuing success and never settling for a lesser outcome.
I am greatly travelled, and have spent considerable time studying and working abroad in multicultural, multinational teams. Within Australia itself I have studied and worked in culturally diverse environments and participated in ethnically robust community groups. Accordingly, I have highly developed intercultural communication skills, and the ability to strike up close relationships and achieve outcomes with peoples from various backgrounds. I am a confident and capable communicator in the Japanese language, able to converse at a sophisticated level.
Prior employers have required that I demonstrate highly sophisticated verbal communication skills in a professional environment. I have utilised these skills to provide a high level of customer service, provide verbal technical support and to educate and inform. As previously mentioned, I have held positions abroad in nations where English is not the predominant language. These positions have all demanded that I be able to communicate at the highest level, and I have met that demand.
I present exceptionally, possessing a charismatic demeanour combined with a genuine
ability to meet client needs. This has allowed me to succeed professionally in fields that have required me to act as a brand ambassador. Beyond ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, I have an established history of both meeting and exceeding targets and KPIs. I am a highly effective and efficient employee with keenly developed time management skills, personal traits that have allowed me to deliver high outcomes and to always succeed. Ambition, paired with a high work ethic, means that I continuously challenge myself to new and greater heights, and I gain enormous satisfaction from success. I am constantly striving to improve and to set the bar higher. I am also focused on team development. The entirety of my work history has been in team environments where I thrive, and my personal drive to succeed mobilises and motivates fellow team members to greater achievements and outcomes. I am a natural leader, unafraid to take responsibility and to make courageous decisions. I am confident that I am a candidate with all the qualities required to not only meet your needs but to exceed your expectations. I am happy to provide any further information about my employment history and experiences that may be required. Sincerely,
Rachel Smith
