SASS Staff Recognition Week This week is SASS Staff Recognition Week! I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge all the hard work and efforts of all our SASS staff at GNPS. Our SASS staff include, Janet Signor (School Administration Manager), Cheryl Adcock, Tammy Gale, Sarah Signor, Meagan Wood (School Administration Officers), Helen Cambrell, jane Francis, Allison Forbes, Jodie Smith, Vanessa Blumer, Rachel McMahon, Jane Francis, Jenny Johns, Nicole Smith, Jennifer Violi, Frank Cirillo, Jesse Mancinelli, Ashley De Paoli, Liz Fattore and Elizabeth Mason (School Learning Support Officers), Michelle Russell (Aboriginal Education Officer) and Keith Chapman (General Assistant). All do a brilliant job and often their hard work goes unnoticed however, without all their efforts, we would not be as efficient and effective as we are. PBL –Expectation Focus for the Week This week’s focus for PBL is:

“Be Calm” This week’s PBL expectation is “Be Calm”. The meaning of the word calm is “to be quiet and still, not excited or cranky.” If you are in a state of calm, you can make the right decision or choice. For example, if someone in your class or in the playground is saying things to you that you do not like, instead of getting angry or saying mean things back to them stay CALM, WALK AWAY, and TALK to the teacher.

P&C Movie Night

Tickets are selling fast….

Get your tickets now to avoid disappointment on the night! (Tickets will not be available at the Cinema if sold out prior.)

It is ideal to be at the Cinema by 6.30pm, so you have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, be seated and ready for our continuous raffle draw, as there are some awesome prizes to be won. The raffle will be drawn both prior and after the movie.

Canteen News Week 7

Our large meat pie is now off the menu; however we still have party pies available. There will be more changes to our menu, as we get ready for the Heathy School canteen strategy to be implemented. Thank you to everyone who has helped in the canteen. If you are available, please come and see us. Thanking you Kelli and Paulina Canteen Supervisors

3-6 Playground Over the next few weeks, the playground equipment that the P&C have purchased for the 3-6 playground will be installed. The area will be fenced off, so students will not be able to access the area.

The GNPS Art Show “Limited Edition”

On Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th September, we will be holding our Art Show “Limited Edition”. Students and teachers are working very hard in their classrooms to produce some amazing artworks. The Art Show will open on Wednesday night from 5.30pm-7.30pm, with the official opening at 5.30pm. It will also be on Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. There will be a sausage sizzle and drinks available each night. We hope everyone is able to attend one of the times and enjoy the creative artworks from GNPS students
