The Sacramento center is owned by Wrightwood Capital. The first order of business will call for a comprehensive repositioning effort for the entire center. The center is home to many retailers, such as McDonald’s, Taco Bell, 99 Ranch Market, Chase Bank, Baskin Robbins, and HomeTown Buffet, along with many others. Southgate Plaza was once a dominant center in Sacramento, located at the intersection of Florin Road and Franklin Avenue. NewMark Merrill’s repositioning efforts will include implementing an aggressive lease-up plan for both large boxes and small in-line shops. In addition, the County of Sacramento has demonstrated significant support to the Florin Corridor. Marketing and promotions will play a large part in the rebranding of this asset back to its community. “Southgate Plaza is the type of retail asset that should stand the test of time.
