QSR 2021 Summer Camp Program – Revision 0.10 – May 01, 2021 Page 2
Welcome to Quivira Scout Ranch 2021!
Thank you for making us your units camping destination!
We are incredibly excited to provide another great year at Quivira Scout Ranch. New to QSR in 2021 is the Banana Split Relay, a race
combining all areas of Camp. To obtain the ingredients for a beautiful treat, each Troop and Crew must complete a challenge within the Program
area. More information below. The Camp will provide meals in campsites to ensure the safety of our scouts and leaders. QSR provides a wide variety
of merit badge/activity programs for your young campers. We are also excited to introduce our new maverick scout price option. Young scouts who
attend Camp can come back another week as a maverick scout and get a reduced price for camp registration. We will pair the young scout up with a
unit through our “trusted unit” program. This is an excellent opportunity for a scout who wishes to attend Camp for more than one session.
Camperships are available for individual campers, both in and out of Council. Hammock camping is still available for campers who would like to
explore the option. Another addition to QSR is our revamped Scoutmaster Fishing Tournament with a tagged fish prize.
Thank you for choosing Quivira Scout Ranch; we are looking forward to seeing you this summer!
David L, Hubble - Program Director
Chad Dozier - Camp Director

Quivira Scout Ranch Mission Statement
The Quivira Scout Ranch year-round mission is to provide an opportunity for Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Varsity Teams,
Venturing Crews, and Explorer Posts to have fun, learn skills, and practice Scouting programs in the outdoors under their own leadership. The
philosophy of our Ranger, professional staff, and program staff is a total commitment to serving Scouts and their adult leaders to the best of
our ability. In pursuit of this meaningful goal, we pledge to strive to incorporate the following items into every Quivira Scout Ranch activity.
1. Teaching & Coaching: Traditional Scouting skills will
be taught to all those participating in the program.
2. Values: All of us are committed to being good role
models, always exemplifying the Scout Oath and Law.
3. Fun: We will deliver fun-filled camp-wide programs that
will be enjoyed & remembered by every youth who
comes to camp.
4. Quality Program: An emphasis on quality and good
health, with careful attention paid to program content,
menu selections, trading post sales, and physical activities
will be part of everything we do.
To live up to this commitment to our customers, QSR will feature a
quality, mature, energetic, enthusiastic staff providing activities that will lead Cub Scouts into the Scouts BSA program and help young
people on the Trail to Eagle Scout.

NEW! Restrictions at Free Swim
Sign up is required for free swim. Why the new restrictions? Keeping in line with National Standards, there must be one lifeguard for every

Your unit can sign up during check-in.

We encourage everybody to try our Tribe Program at Quivira Scout Ranch. The Tribe of Quivira is made up of volunteers
who are glad to help the future generation. Unfortunately, with COVID-19 still a situation within our community, changes
