Dear Campers and Parents…
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the
2021 Commando Baseball Camp! Our camp has al-
ways had over 100 participants and was a great learn-
ing week of fun for everyone involved. We look for-
ward to this year being even better.
Our camp will provide instruction in the fundamentals
of the great game of baseball, while stressing the val-
ue of hard work, self-discipline and teamwork while
playing the game.
Hendersonville High School Baseball is one of the most
successful high school programs in the state of Ten-
nessee. Over the past 34 years under the direction of
Head Coach Mike Hendrix, HHS Baseball has achieved
success at the highest level. The Commandos have
been to the state tournament five times, won seven
district championships, five region championships, and
sent more than 60 players to play college baseball,
including having seven players drafted by Major
League Baseball. The 2019 Commando Baseball team
has five players that have signed college scholarships
and they were the District 9AAA Champions. In 2016
former Commando Zac Curtis became the first player
from Sumner County to play in an MLB game.
We hope you will join us for a week of camp this sum-
mer. Each camp session will be directed by the HHS
coaching staff as well as former and current players.
Each camp day will consist of sessions stressing all the
fundamental skills of baseball, using the same teach-
ing techniques that have proven successful year-in and
year-out at Hendersonville High School. Baseball is
FUN and our campers will learn how to enjoy playing
the greatest game ever invented the right way! We’ll
see ya’ at camp!!
