Review Comments In this paper, the author aims to review the growht and progress of insurance companies in Bangladesh. As a developing country like Bangladesh, such an issue is very attention-grabbing. After reading the paper cautiously, I pinpointed several major waknesses in it. In my opinion the paper is not worth to be published in its present form. Following are some of the issues which must be carefully addressed if the author really wants his/her work to make fruitful contributions in the existing literature: Major Points: 1. The paper has been developed haphazardly without any logical sequence. For example, the author states that his core objective is to assess the growth and progress of insurance business in Bangladesh, but in the objective section, several issues (obj- 2&3) are added abruptly without any pre-discussion. Introduction section should include reasonable discussion in advance to justify the necessity of this study. 2. Throughout the whole writings, the author does not try to remain stick to his objectives. There is no coherent sequence of specified objectives and subsequent findings. 3. The methodology of this paper is imprecise and incomplete. The statement in the methodology section-“the growth and development of insurance players will be analyzed by comparing the quantitative parameters like number of policies, profitability, branch network, number of agents, product offers, claims settled, etc.” does not actually reflected in the analysis part. 4. The paper provides some facts and figures about the insurance business in Bangladesh (page 4-6). But unfortunately, there are no in-text references of the sources of those facts and figures. Moreover, merely providing quantitative information of the year 2009 and 2010 does not exhibit the growth and progress of insurance business in the post-liberation period. 5. The paper seems to be only a summarypiece of information about the insurance sector in Bangladesh, rather than a review article.

Review CommentsIn this paper, the author aims to review the growht and progress of insurance companies in Bangladesh. As a developing country like Bangladesh, such an issue is very attention-grabbing. After reading the paper cautiously, I pinpointed several major waknesses in it. In my opinion the paper is not worth to be published in its present form. Following are some of the issues which must be carefully addressed if the author really wants his/her work to make fruitful contributions in the existing literature:

Major Points:

1. The paper has been developed haphazardly without any logical sequence. For example, the author states that his core objective is to assess the growth and progress of insurance business in Bangladesh, but in the objective section, several issues (obj-2&3) are added abruptly without any pre-discussion. Introduction section should include reasonable discussion in advance to justify the necessity of this study.2. Throughout the whole writings, the author does not try to remain stick to his objectives. There is no coherent sequence of specified objectives and subsequent findings.

3. The methodology of this paper is imprecise and incomplete. The statement in the methodology section-the growth and development of insurance players will be analyzed by comparing the quantitative parameters like number of policies, profitability, branch network, number of agents, product offers, claims settled, etc. does not actually reflected in the analysis part.

Therefore, it fails to make satisfactory contribution to existing literature.6. The writings suffer from several structural, grammatical and spelling mistakes.

7. Reference sectiob is presented in an unprofessional way. I would advice the author to follow any of the standard reference systems (For example, APA style, Harvard Style, Chicago style, etc.) in future. Apart from that, it is surprising that the author has not made citation of any prior papers related to this issue which could surely make this work rich.

To improve the paper, it should be restructured and rewritten in a way that presets more deep and comprehensive insights of this interesting issue.
