    Quickbooks Needs:

Set up Quickbooks Enterprise Edition to maintain an inventory of what each customer

commonly orders and re-orders. I know that QB has both group options, as well as inventory

assembly option, and I believe that properly setting up one of these somehow will accomplish

our needs. Additionally, we need our elancer to figure out how to assign customer numbers so

that we can best locate this information (if necessary), see below. We only need the company fileset up, Actual data entry will be bid as a separate job (there are approx. 400 existing customers

for which an average of 12 commonly reordered custom gaskets would be listed).

We need our QB setup contractor to figure out the following for us:

    Customer designations/Account number/QB number:

We don't currently assign customer numbers, though each of our customer usually has a store #

within their own company, and that is how they refer to themselves when the call us. For example, they will call and say: This is Mom and Pop Grocery number 4240, and we need to order 3 gaskets.

We think we should probably use a customer number that is the same as their store number, and maybeadd 2-3 characters in case 2 different chains use the same number. For example, perhaps our acccounts

    numbers should be: 4240MOM

and 4240SIS (Sisters Grocery #4240), but we would like input from our Elance contractor on how to dothis.

Storage of information about custom products that we make for each customer:

Each customer has 5-20 CUSTOM products (gaskets) that we make for them. They reorder these

products, a few at a time, about twice per year.

We would like to store the information about these CUSTOM products for each customer. When

customer calls, we would like to pull up their file, and they can tell us that they need to reorder items1,3,5, and we have the product profile/size information come up for us. We only need to store these 3

pieces of data for each product. We would like to be able to print a work order for internal use so that

our shop knows what products to build. But then we want to print a relatively simple invoice for the

customer that does not list all the specific size info for each product. We have come up with a productcoding system that we would like to put in to practice.

In addition to these custom made products, we have about 100 stock products that customers can orderas an add-on, and we are fine with adding these individually to the estimeate or work order.

    For example.
