Welcome to AmBetter

This guide will help you login to your account and access the features of the site. In this guide you will learn how to:

Register for an Account and Login

View policies and your Book of Business

Access Commission Statements

View Training Materials

Registering for your Account

There are 2 steps to the registration process, Creating and Activating your account. To Create an Account, enter the following URL http://broker.ambetterhealth.com This will bring you to the login page of the portal, shown in Figure 1. To sign up for a new account select the Register here link.

Registering for your Account Creating your account

After selecting the Register here link, Figure 2 will be displayed. There are several fields you will need to fill out.

Table 1 explains the fields that you will enter.

Password A unique password to protect your account

NPN Your National Producer Number

First Name Your First Name associated with your NPN

Table 2 is an area where you can write down your credentials to reference later, if needed.

Registering for your Account

Activating your account

The Broker Portal will display a message confirming your account was successfully created. An example of this is shown in Figure 4.

Now that you have registered for an account you will need to activate it. Go to your email account and open the verification email that was sent, as shown in Figure 5. To activate your account select the click here link.

Now that the link has been selected, it will redirect to the Broker Portal confirming that your account has been activated. This is shown in Figure 6.

With your account fully activated, you are ready to login and view the features of the site.

Troubleshooting your Account Forgot Username

If you forgot your username, you are able to reset it from the Login screen. Select the Forgot username link shown in Figure 7.

You will now enter in your National Producer Number (NPN) and Email Address as shown in Figure 8. The website will then send an email reminding you of your username.

Go to your email account and you will see an email with the subject line “Forgot username.” Figure 9 shows a template of how the email will look with your username.

Troubleshooting your Account Forgot Password

If you forgot your password, you are able to reset it from the Login screen. As shown in Figure 10, select the Forgot password link.

Go to your email account and you will see an email with the subject line “Password Reset.” Figure 13 shows a template of how the email will look with a link to reset your password.

After clicking the hyperlink you will be redirected back to the website as shown in Figure 14. Enter the security question(s) and enter in a new password..

The website will display a message, shown in Figure 16 confirming that your password has been successfully updated.

Troubleshooting your Account Reset Username If you want to change your username, you can do this once you have logged you’re your account. On the top right part of the homepage, select Account Profile, which is circled in Figure 17.

This opens up your account profile details. To update your username, select the Update Profile button, which is circled in Figure 18.

To change your username, enter your new username in the Username field. You will also need to enter your password. Once you have entered this information, select the Update button.

After pressing Update, an email will be sent to your AmBetter email address. Access your email and there will be an email with the subject line “Profile Updated” as shown in Figure 20. Click the here hyperlink in the email to validate your username update.

After you have confirmed the changes, it will redirect you back to the portal listing what changes have been made. In Figure 21 you can see that the username and password were successfully updated.

Login to your Account Go back to the login page of the website by visiting http://broker.ambetterhealth.com Enter your username and password and select Log in as shown in Figure 22.

Dashboard After logging in, you will see the Dashboard of the site shown in Figure 23. This is also the homepage of the Broker Portal. The Dashboard has 3 main widgets: Policies Late Policies Messages

Policies

Displays 5 policies based on the Received Date, placing the most recent on top

Late Policies

Displays the 5 policies based on the oldest Paid To Date at the top

If the Paid To Date is less than the current date, it is considered late

The 5 policies with the greatest difference between the Paid to Date and current date will display in the Late Policies box on the Dashboard

To view more late policies, go to the Policies tab, reviewed on the next page and filter by Paid to Date to see all past due policies

Messages

Displays the top messages that have been sent to you

Policies The Policies tab displays a list of all policies attributed to a broker. Each column supports filtering by specific criteria and/or sorting. Figure 24 shows how this page will appear with policies.

The Broker Portal allows you to change the columns that display the policy information. Select the Display Columns button that is circled in Figure 25. This will provide a list of columns you can select from. The policies page and the list of Display columns is the only part of the Portal that may vary between an Agency Administrator and a Broker.

The next tab on the navigation bar is Training Materials. This page lists training materials for you to access. The links are categorized by state and offer access to external sites and/or open uploaded documents. Figure 27 illustrates how the Training Materials page appears.

Messages The Messages page displays the most recent messages that have been sent by your Company Administrator. These messages are “read only,” meaning you cannot save or respond to it. Figure 30 illustrates how the Messages page appears.

Account Profile The last part on this screen to explore is the Account Profile section. This is circled in Figure 31. The Account Profile page shows information about your user account such as:

Full Name

Email Address

Username You can edit profile information by selecting the Update Profile button, circled in Figure 31.

You have the ability to change your username, password, and security questions. This is shown in Figure 32. After making changes, select Update to save your changes.

Log out After you are done using the website, logout to ensure the security of HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI). You can Log out by selecting the Log out button in the top right hand corner of the website, circled in Figure 33.
