ST 800 SmartLine Pressure Transmitter Honeywell
Quick Installation Card
Know your Transmitter The transmitter can measure the differential, absolute and gauge pressures which can be communicated in Fieldbus,
HART Version 7, and Digitally Enhanced protocols in process engineering. It has meter body and electronic housing
assemblies which can easily assembled in your process. The following figure shows the flange type connection of the
transmitter.

ST 800 SmartLine Pressure Transmitter Honeywell Connections
The transmitter can be mounted on flange, Flush or Remote diaphragm seal arrangements. The electronic connections
have two wires which are connected to the terminals and an internal ground connection in the terminal block.
Installation Prerequisites
Evaluate the following parameters:
• Environmental Conditions: o Ambient Temperature o Relative Humidity
• Potential Noise Sources:
o Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) o Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
• Vibration Sources o Pumps o Motorized System Devices (e.g., pumps) o Valve Cavitation
• Process Parameters o Temperature o Maximum Pressure Rating
Safety
The display shows the following critical errors:

Troubleshooting Fault Conditions and Recommended Corrective Actions
Condition Analysis Recommended Corrective Action
Meterbody fault. A critical failure has been detected in the Meterbody
Use a HART, DE, or FF communicator to read the detailed status information
from the transmitter. Refer to the appropriate communicator
manual to get more information about the possible
causes of the failure.
Cycle power to the Transmitter. If the problem continues to occur, replace
the Meterbody.
Electronics Module Fault. A critical failure has been
detected on the HART, DE, or FF Electronics Module.
Use a HART, DE, or FF communicator to read the detailed status information
from the transmitter. Refer to the appropriate communicator manual for more information
about the possible failure causes.
Cycle power to the transmitter.
If the problem continues to occur replace the Electronics
Module.
Meterbody Comm fault. .
This could be the result of a failure on either of these modules or the cable that
connects them.
Check the ribbon cable that connects the Meterbody to
the Electronics Module. Make sure that the cable is securely plugged into the Electronics Module. Make sure that all pins are plugged into the
connector (i.e., make sure that the connector is not
offset in a way that leaves some pins unconnected).
Communications between the Meterbody and the
Electronics Module has failed
Use a HART, DE, or FF communicator to read the detailed status information
from the transmitter. Refer to the appropriate communicator
manual to get more information about the possible
causes of the failure.
Cycle power to the transmitter.
If the problem continues to occur replace the Electronics Module. If this does not fix the
problem, replace the Meterbody.
