optimise your use of each platform.

Purpose: brand awareness and engagement

Use Your Page Insights!
Page Insights > Posts
Use your page to talk around topics which are relevant to
your business.
Use Twitter trending topics, Google alerts, news and even
watch Piers Morgan to find topics to talk about!
Ask questions.
Be useful and relevant!
Get clear about purpose of your page!
What do you want people to do after visiting your page?
Prioritise for mobile!
(96% of FB Adverts viewed on mobile!)
Check/optimise page settings!
Use your story!
Messenger – expected 12 minute response time!
Automate first response! No bots – UK prefer
humans!
Like pages from your page
and respond as your page!
In right hand
column of your page
Like pages your ideal
customer will follow!
Use your pages feed as a place to network!!
Comment as your page,
so your potential ideal
audience see you!
Google+ (Yes really!)
Optimal posts: 1 a week
Purpose: SEO
Priority a website link.
Use ‘add button’ to add a webpage link.
Each time you do this Google re-index your website.
When you are logged into your Google
account, use the 9 squares to find ‘My
Business’.
If you can’t see it, you may need to click
‘more’ or register your business with Google.
Use ‘create post’ add a few words, a
sentence will do.
Use ‘Add a button’ to add your website link.
Twitter!
Optimal posts: 5 a day!
Purpose: SEO/Backlinks
Hashtags: 3
Twitter!
Schedule!
Use images and videos
Research hashtags!
Retweet influencers to your audience.
Check in, to engage!
Instagram:
Optimal posts: 1 a day (share to Facebook as extra*)
Purpose: Brand awareness and engagement
Hashtags: 11 (split!)(2 describing image in original – shared to FB
9 for your audience in first comment)
Instagram:
To grow your followers – follow those who are
active on your competitors IG or on your influencersUnfollow only those who don’t follow back
- app ‘followers’ on phone!
Portrait videos!!
*Don’t post at same time as FB posts.
Use at two optimal times.
Click on a post on your
competitors or an
influencers Instagram
Click on a post likes
to show those who
are engaging with
the post and follow.
You can then
engage on their
posts, and they will
see you are
following them.
Do NOT unfollow!
Unless in a few
months, they are
still not following
you back!
LinkedIn:
Optimal posts: 5 a week(2 x post shared to Personal Profile)
Purpose: Brand awareness
Hashtags: 2
Pinterest:
Optimal posts: a few, once a week
Purpose: Brand awareness & Back Links
Hashtags: up to 20
(the hashtag feeds shows newest on top)
(Technically Pinterest is now seen as a visual search engine rather
than a social media platform. I’m including it here as regular
consistent use, in the same way you would use a Social Media
platform is essential!)
Pinterest:
Organise your boards
You can pin any interesting content you find to your
boards - ideas that inspire you - and put your own
image pins in between
Use ifttt.com for Instagram to Pinterest
to automatically update board called Insta Pics on
Pinterest.
Your Own Facebook Group
Optimal posts: as much as you like!
Purpose: Brand awareness, engagement and offers!
Hashtags: up to you!
Facebook Stories/Instagram Stories
Optimal posts: 3 times a day!!
(set your alarm!!)
Purpose: Brand awareness and engagement
Hashtags: up to you!
Create images in advance. Key is consistency!
Diary/behind the scenes, good for before a big launch/push!
