A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL Dear families, Term two is well and truly underway for us at Queenscliff Primary School.

Last week, our school captains attended a student leadership conference, which focused around leadership responsi-bility, identifying leadership strengths and weaknesses, developing understanding of the school captain role and ap-plying these to our Queenscliff Primary School context. By all accounts, this was a useful and exciting day – I look for-ward to the school captains sharing a bit more about this at Friday’s assembly – assembly will be at the regular time of 2.30 on Friday.

As you are all aware, ANZAC Day is tomorrow and therefore a student free day at our school. Students have worked extensively with Mr Tantau learning about ANZAC day and what this day means to Australia and us. Tomorrow our school captains, Jewel Allen and Sol Bowtel, will be attending the 11.00am service at the Fort to place a wreath on behalf of the school. Also, 6 students across years 3-6 have been invited to represent our school on behalf of Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale RSL in escorting the ‘Cosmopolitan Lodge Honour Board’, currently in custodianship of our local RSL sub-branch, from the RSL Memorial Hall into Fort Queenscliff. The students participating are Liam Fitz-simmons, Kathryn Grima, Mitch Bowtell, Bailey Drummond, Jed Hutchins and Virginia Roob. All students representing the school must be in full school uniform. We encourage and invite all of our QPS families to join us at the memorial service. We will be meeting at the school from approximately 10.15 am and walking to the fort.
