Directions by CarFrom M8 Motorway (Edinburgh and South)

Take exit 17 onto A82 (Great Western Road), signposted Dumbarton. After passing by the Botanic Gardens on your right, turn right on the next traffic lights onto Kirklee Road. On the first crossroads, turn left onto Bellshaugh Road. Approximately 250m down the road, you will see Queen Margaret Residences on your left.

From M8 Motorway (Glasgow Airport and West)

Exit at Junction 25 onto A739, and continue straight through the Clyde Tunnel. At the first traffic lights, turn right onto Victoria Park Gardens. Once you reach the end of the road, turn right onto Crow Road. Take the second left onto Clarence Drive. Continue until the end of the road, then turn left onto Hyndland Road. After passing through the first crossroads with traffic lights, take the second right onto Cleveden Drive. Once you reach the end of the road, turn left onto Bellshaugh Road. Take the second left onto Bellshaugh Court, where Queen Margaret Residences are situated.

Alternatively you can get a taxi, which will cost approximately £15 - £20.

Prestwick Airport

Prestwick Airport is a 45 minute train journey from the city centre (the train station is located within Prestwick Airport).

Directions by BusBuchanan Bus Station (0141 333 3708)

Buchanan Bus Station is situated in the city centre. Exit the bus station onto Renfrew Street, turn right and walk down Renfrew Street (you should pass by Cineworld on your left). Turn right onto Hope Street before the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Take the 6/6A bus from the bus stop opposite Theatre Royal. Get off on Great Western Road before Kirklee Road. For walking directions to QMR from bus stop, please refer to directions on how to get from Central Station to QMR by bus.

From Central Train StationSubway

Exit through exit 2 onto Union Street. Take a right and walk down Union Street until you reach the first crossroads, and turn left onto Argyle Street (towards St Enoch shopping centre). After about 50m you should see an entrance to the subway station on your right (look out for an orange and grey sign). Take the Inner Circle train to Hillhead station. After exiting the station onto Byres Road, turn right and walk up Byres Road towards the Botanic Gardens. Cross the road and enter the Botanic Gardens through the main gate. Take the first left and follow the path, passing by a playground to your left. Walk straight on and exit through the north-western gate onto Ford Road. Continue straight on at the crossroads onto Bellshaugh Road. Approximately 250m down the road, you will see Queen Margaret Residences on your left.

Bus

Exit through exit 3 onto Hope Street. Cross the road, turn right and walk up Hope Street. Take Bus No 6/6A on the bus stop on the corner of Hope Street and West Regent Lane (you’ll need to walk approximately 250m up Hope Street before reaching the bus stop). Leave the bus on Great Western Road before Kirklee Road. Walk back and cross Great Western Road, and turn left onto Kirklee Road (you should see a shop called Scotfresh on the corner). Walk up Kirklee Road until you reach a crossroads with the Kelvinside Academy on the corner, and turn left onto Bellshaugh Road. Approximately 250m down the road, you will see Queen Margaret Residences on your left.

Alternatively you can get a taxi, which will cost approximately £7 - £10.

From Queen Street Train StationSubway

Exit towards George Square onto West George Street. Turn right and walk until you reach Buchanan Street. You’ll see the entrance to the Subway on your right (look out for an orange and grey sign). Take the Inner Circle train to Hillhead station.

Bus

Exit Queen Street Station towards George Square, cross the road and walk across the square until you reach a crossroads. Cross the road again, and you will see a bus stop on your left (there is a Greggs nearby). Take Bus No 6/6A, and get off on Great Western Road before Kirklee Road. For walking direction to QMR from bus stop, please refer to directions on how to get from Central Station to QMR by bus. Alternatively you can get a taxi, which will cost approximately £7 - £10.
