RGU brings a strategic approach to Campus Planning and competing for Cap-ital Projects. RGU believes in comprehensive studies that explore and align the goals and objectives of the college, student, and surrounding commu-nity. Each project and opportunity is unique - uncovering the next best step - takes an approach that is strategic, innovative and informed.

COLLEGECapital money is competitive and each College must strategically plan to ensure future capi-tal funding. Staying in compliance and developing a strategy that takes into account likely opportunities and challenges is essential. At RGU we understand SBCTC’s CAM Report, FAE Reports, and Space Allocations. We empirically analyze your class schedule and develop a space need assessment that allows you to make informed decisions and develop Goals and Objectives that are verified through empirical data. We offer an advanced service through:

n Prioritized Major and Minor Capital Improvement Lists - Based on Scoringn Program by Program Space Need Assessmentn Strategies Developed and Bench marked against Competitionn Work With You Every Step of The Way - You will Make Informed Decisionsn CAM Report Analysis and Verification n Comprehensive Campus Wide Space Utilization Analysisn Analysis of FAE Reportn Demographic Projections and Correlating FAE Reportn Future Space Requirement Projectionsn Space Adjacency Assessmentn Extensive Internal and External Environmental Scansn Schematics for Immediate Need Projects

STUDENTStudents of today, vary greatly from those of just ten years ago. No longer is a Classroom with a whiteboard and a building full of classrooms sufficient. Facil-ity Master Plans must consider how students learn and where they learn. Cre-ating space both interior and exterior that engages students and assists them in learning is essential to a successful campus. We believe in focusing on the Student to ensure that their voice is represented. Key methodologies include:

Meetingsn Extensive Internal and External

Environmental Scans

COMMUNITYEconomic Development Agencies should be represented throughout the study. Addition-ally, it is essential to collaborate with the K-12 systems as well as surrounding higher educa-tion institutions. Traditional borders of K-12, community college, higher education and the work force are becoming increasingly blurred. Creating a campus that is able to respond both technologically and through the use of flexible and multipurpose space is essential. Uncovering the unique needs of each com-munity is one way in which we separate from our competition. We go beyond a simple de-mographic study and implement the follow-ing:

n Industry Need Survey – Employee Skills

n Interview local Economic Development Agencies

n Community Focus Groupsn In-depth Literature Reviewn Extensive Exterior

Environmental Scansn Global Connectivity Analysisn Knowledge of How Your Competi-tion is Scoring - Develop Projects to Maximize Success

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

BIG BEND COMMUNITY COLLEGE2015-17 CAPITAL REQUESTIn 2014, we successfully assisted BBCC with applying for a new Professional Technical Education Center through the Washington State competitive Capital Budget Re-quest process. Methodology used was a comparison analysis on the Colleges top scoring project and top scoring projects of closest competitors. Tough decisions and compromises were

The project focuses on connectivity and collabora-tion. Space will allow for hands on learning opportuni-ties as well as for local industry trainings. Customized and modular based curriculum will assist the col-lege in stackable credits as well as delivering lifelong learning opportunities.

COLUMBIA BASIN COLLEGE PROJECT PROPOSAL REQUEST - CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION CENTERIn 2005, we successfully assisted Columbia Basin College in writing a Project Proposal Request for the replacement of their existing Vocational Building. The project seeked to remove the stigma associated with Technical Educa-tion by creating an environment that was aesthetically appealing and unlike technical education space of the past. Inviting space was created that celebrated the trades and encouraged industry engagement. Class-rooms, Conference Rooms and state of the art Labs were technologically equipped and designed to allow for customized as well as industry trainings.

COLUMBIA BASIN COLLEGE PROJECT PROPOSAL REQUEST - BUSINESS EDUCATION BUILDING In 2005, we worked with Columbia Basin College to develop a project proposal request for the renovation of the existing 1950’s B Building. The building had a space utilization rate of less then 25%, and was dark, dismal and uninviting. The College wanted to create a modern day learning environment that was technologi-cally equipped and able to house general classrooms for their new four-year Business degree program. Informal learning areas, wider corridors and a strategically placed Administration Wing were incorporated to maximize student to student as well as student to instructor ex-changes.
