Qtest Trimmer can be integrated to Green, UV or IR laser to

trim different materials.

It’s R&D and investigative capabilities allow it to interface the

best laser system to be used on the different materials to en-

able the best trimming results.

Introduction:

The present resistor trimming technologies were developed some 30

years ago and have not really kept up with the time. The most com-

monly used trimmer today is only capable of trimming more than

50mohm and with very low yield and poor SD.

Qtest has developed its capability over the last 6 years and is able to

provide trim capability from sub-milli-ohm using its Ultra Low Ohm

Trimmer and with very high yield of over 99%.

Qtest ULO-100 was designed and developed from ground up for the

ultra-low ohm trimming industry.

Qtest Trimmer Capability

1. SD from 0.03% depending on trimming speed and yield requirement.

Qtest’s Trimmer is capable of trimming Ultra Low Ohm and

Thin Film Resistors.

All trimmers in the market is designed to trim either low

Ohm or thin film but not on one machine. Qtest trimmer is

capable of trimming Ultra Low ohm and thin Film on the

same machine. The only requirement maybe to change the

laser.

Qtest uses 2 measurement system to achieve the accuracy

and SD needed for high yield production. The final measure-

ment and reference system is the Hioki* 35345. All the Final

measurements are done using this meter. Therefore the us-

ers should have the confidence of the resistors being

trimmed and measured accurately.
