NEW TRUSTEESOxford Homeless Pathways is a well regarded, medium-sized charity providing accommodation and support to homeless people in Oxfordshire for over 25 years. Our two main projects are O’Hanlon House (56 bed hostel for homeless people moving from the streets) and Julian Housing (83 units of accommodation in 15 dispersed houses, for formerly homeless people). Switchboard Telephonist / ReceptionistOxford University Press is a department of the University of Oxford, which furthers the University’s objective of excellence in research, scholarship, and education by publishing worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced Switchboard Telephonist/ Receptionist to join our front of house team, who deal with a high volume and wide range of inbound requests & queries from customers within the business, in addition to external authors, freelancers, and members of the public.

You will primarily be working as part of our switchboard team (taking, forwarding and overseeing a large and extremely busy telephone call volume), but will also be required to provide cover on the main reception desk when required.

As you will be the first customer interface for the organisation, you should be confident, well organised and self-motivated with an excellent telephone manner and able to demonstrate previous experience working as a receptionist and/ or telephonist, in a busy environment with either a telephone switchboard or call centre background preferred

The salary offered will be in the region of £15,000 depending on the skills and experience. OUP offers a full range of supporting benefits.
