Today it is impossible to know if field has dependants

Search by ID The system should allow to search for only the item/defect ID, in case only

Numeric string shows on the search area.

This search result will in this case will return only the items/defects with that

ID + Items/defects that numeric string shows in their NAME/DESCRIPTION


Save last

Save Search & Filter Last User Selection.

The system should allow the user to get back quickly to his last setting on the

Search & Filter control. These settings will include

Object Type

Quick Search State (Open / Closed)

Put Cursor on the ID position (ALT-TAB possible between

applications will put the cursor on the last position on the screen)

System fields Show system fields default value.

Today user can override system field caption (such as due date, start date,

etc.)

He has no idea what the original value was.

Add to the table the default value (column name: “default value")

Today we have a list of item names in admin->configuration, we have no idea

what is the original value.

Replace the list with grid with the following values:

Default item code, default item name, custom item code, custom item name

If no override of custom values - leave empty

The grid is big enough so all columns are shown and column header is not

truncated

Allow export grid to Excel

Remove MRD item option – not supported by QPack any more

Filter order by Add all fields to Order By attribute

Manage step

history

The history of the test case should mention the fact of change in steps, and

mention add/delete/modify steps.

If step was added - add indication "Step added" (as today)

If step was deleted - add indication "Step deleted" (as today)

The system will record the deleted value to history (separate lines for


description and expected)

If step has changed - add indication "Step X [description/expected] changed".

The system will record the old and new value to history (separate lines for

description and expected)

The diff will be active for the step same as description

Execution

Add new properties to execution filter results

Work plan status, plan version, comment are saved to history.

These columns are added to filter, and grid result in execution history

Fields names that were added to execution history filter: Run Work plan

status, Run Plan version, Run Comment

Work plan status and test comment will be removed from grid results and

filter of execution history (since they are not recorder to history)

System tables

Option in system tables to sort Alphabetic order

This will reorder all values by alphabetic order and save it to DB

This operation is now much faster (less than a second)

DocGen filter 1. The By Filter option is removed from Source area

2. The By Filter option is moved to Filter area

3. If user select then By Filter option , the system should generate document

and then filter the results by the “By filter” according to filter results

Recycle bin Sort the deleted items in 'Recycle Bin' by order deleted

Run version Show run version in test execution tab toolbar (editable)

Test run screen User can select in user settings whether to open/not open the test run screen

with the version.

If user changes the version, and the version came from version source file

– he will be asked if to save the new value to the version source file

• If test has run parameters - this screen will be opened.

• Default: This screen will open

Show the run version in test execution tab If user selected to show run version screen – don’t show this field in

execution set tab

If user selected not to show run version screen - show this field in execution

set tab

When user change value and version source file exists – QPack asks him if to


save value to file. Message is shown in QPack status bar

In any case – if version is displayed on toolbar, and the run version screen

opens – it opens with the version value from toolbar

Run version mandatory will be managed in both cases the same way

Fail test

during run

Allow fail and report defect

User can do the followings for each step: Pass, fail, fail and report defect,

skip and close (“Not completed”)

Cancel the option of open defect from test run from user settings (cancel in

code and remove from user settings screen)

Charts When chart is filled and user changes filter in grid - clear chart

When "Show chart" in search control (items and defects) is open

After chart is populated and shows results, when user changes filter in filters

combo - clear chart.
