Question: We have been w orking w ith Cliff Hughes on discussing our upgrade from 2012 R2 SP1 to current branch.

He stated that other Microsoft Premier Field Engineers are reporting certain IIS components are missing or disabled

after the upgrade and they had to reinstall BITS and re-enable Window s Process Activation. He is recommending that

w e consider migration instead of in place upgrade. Opinion?

Answer: My personal experience is 5+ upgrades so far and no IIS issues at customer s ite. The only thing I can

mention is that you might need to restart WDS Service to get PXE w orking again.
