*People to people international is a proud member of GYSD, an annual global event that encourages the service work of youth around the world.
*PTPI was founded by US president Dwight D. Eisenhower on September 11,1956.
*PTPI made its home in Kansas City, Missouri in 1961.
*Since 1962, PTPI is a nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization.
*Our Purpose
*The aim of People to People
International is to promote
international understanding
through direct people-to-people
contacts by educational,cultural
and
humanitarian
activities.
*Our Beliefs
*•We believe that individuals can often be more effective than governments in promoting human relationships and world peace.
*We believe that citizens of all countries need personal contact with other people and cultures.
*We believe we need to ensure the enduring legacy of
People to People International.
We believe
in Peace
through Understanding!
We believe in people!
*They are local units with volunteer members.
*There are more than 300 chapters and 60,000 members all over the world.
*Chapters participate in international programs and organize local projects.
*There are three types of chapters:
-Students chapters
-University chapters
-Community chapters
Structure of PTPI Chapters
Student Chapters are membership-
based groups that give youth ages 13-18
the opportunity to:
Think globally, act locally.
Students Chapters
*promote Peace through Understanding in their school or community
*carry out
inspiring
projects
devoted to
cultural
understanding
and
humanitarianism
* gain
leadership
and
teambuilding
skills

*We want to be a part of a more unite and better society. Now, we’re just a group of students who share the ambition to change the surrounding people and conditions for the better.
We are supported by PTPI and our
school (GPAE ‘’Geo Milev’’) but

*Hey, do you remember the snowy December of 17, when many of you bought a variety of our delicious Christmas candy?
With your help, we
gathered more

Christmas Bazaar
The Vectors Student Chapter had the rare opportunity to participate in the grand opening of a cultural center in a building that once was a casino.
*We went to great lengths to recreate the atmosphere of the golden years of the casino. We arrived by carriages and antique cars in 20's style attire.
Maritime Casino
*We created a presentation to educate two local schools about what is occurring in Japan.
*The chapter collected and donated nearly $250 USD to
ptpI’s InternatIonal frIendshIp fund.
*Chapter members gave
hand-made origami cranes
to those who donated.

*The money we raised from our
Christmas and March bazaars
we used to paint part of the
school fence. Many other
students, teachers and even
parents had fun while making
our school yard a nicer place.

*The Sister Chapter Program pairs participating
PTPI Student Chapters with sister chapters in
different countries.
*Through communicating and completing joint
projects, sister chapters learn about another
culture.
*Get ready to have fun and make new friends
around the globe!
*The Vectors have a Sister Chapter coordinator
who serves as the main communicator and link
between us and Huntsville, Alabama Student
Chapter.
