PTFs Board of Directors Announces New ExecutiveManagement Team
Pierre Landell-Mills Hands Over to Daniel Ritchie as President and
Chief Executive Officer
The Board of Directors of the Partnership for Transparency Fund (PTF)
announced the appointment of Daniel Ritchie as President and CEO upon the
retirement from these posts of Pierre Landell-Mills, who has headed PTFsmanagement since the founding of the organization in 2000. The Board also
announced the appointment of Roger Sullivan as Secretary and VinayBhargava as Chief Technical Officer.
PTF Chair Anabel Cruz said, Pierre Landell-Mills has a compelling vision of
a world that is just and that is free of corruption, which he brought to PTF as it
started and which has guided PTF from modest beginnings in 2000 to the pointwhere today it is an internationally respected contributor to the fight againstcorruption. His leadership has been marked by his devotion, commitment, and
determination to reach standards of professional excellence and true impact. Iam delighted that Pierre has agreed to continue to serve as a Board member,
where we shall rely heavily on his wisdom and energy.
Ms. Cruz added, I am also proud of the decisions of the PTF Board to
appoint Daniel Ritchie,Roger Sullivan and Vinay Bhargava, to the keyleadership position in our management team. Their deep association with the
work of PTF and extensive commitment to development, justice and thereduction of poverty, will ensure continuity and growth in PTF.
Ritchie, Sullivan and Bhargava are PTF volunteers after lengthy careers ininternational developments. Daniel Ritchie, PTFs former Secretary, is also
President of the William Budd Scholarship Fund that provides educational
scholarships in Kenya, providing financial support for secondary anduniversity-level students in Kenya. And he also serves on the Boards of non-governmental organizations dealing with girls education in south Sudan,
village development in India and the promotion of internet-use in Africa.
Roger Sullivan has served as PTFs coordinator for Eastern and Southern
Africa, with particular responsibilities for the PTF programs in Kenya, Uganda,Tanzania and Zambia. Vinay Bhargava has played leading roles in recent yearsin the development of PTFs work with civil society organizations, notably in
Asia, which in recent times has been the region that has seen the most dramatic
and substantial growth in PTF operations.
