The Green MileThe Green Mile is about a prison where prisoners that have the death sentence go. Paul the main executioner discovers a man that was accused of raping and killing two little girls, when he wasn’t guilty. He was still put on death row. Percy, one of the officers, is a violent man that thinks he can do what he wants to inmates. Percy picks on all the inmates that are staying in the prison. One man named, John Coffey, is a huge African American man that was accused of killing and raping two girls. He has a gift that helps him heal anyone that he touches. He healed Paul Uti, and the wardens wife from cancer. He was killed by the electric chair, and Paul has never forgot that. Paul also has a gift that he got from Coffey when Coffey healed his UTI. It was the gift to live for longer than he should. He watched everyone die around him except for himself. Even a mouse had the same gift. The mouse was a friend to one of the inmates that was put to death.

Pedophilia in the Green MilePedophilia is a sexual urge towards a kid younger than they are.

In the movie Wharton was hire to help around the a house that had a family of four, in that four included two little girls. After Wharton finished up with painting the house he was invited to dinner with the family. That night he broke in the house and took the little girls, threatening them that if they screamed he would kill them both. After that you never see what happens. The father of the two girls discovered the girls were missing and he went on a search with dogs, and a mob. He found John Coffey with them. Coffey was crying as he held the two girls, and explained he tried to safe them. He was then charged with the rape and murder of the two girls. In the Green Mile the pedophilia example would be Wharton. He raped and killed two little girls.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD is difficulty adjusting to life experiences.

The PTSD in the Green Mile would be Paul. In the beginning of the movie you see this older man in a nursing home. He always goes for a walk to this old shack. No one knows why at that point in the movie. He was an executioner in the prison, and John Coffey’s execution took a toll on Paul. He is never able to forget that experience.
