Protect Your Car From Sun Damage
Every motorist wants to keep their car in its showroom look and in the best running
condition.
There are different causes that can harm your car due to extensive exposure to the Sun.
The vehicles' interior and exterior is always vulnerable to sun's UV rays and the direct heat from sunlight.
As per studies, the car's interior can get as hot as 145 degrees and the surface can get hot 195 degrees due to
excessive sun exposure.
The sun exposure also damages the engine as well as the finishing significantly.
Ways To Protect Your Car From Sun Damage :--
:- Make sure to keep your car's fluid level intact in summer particularly the coolant and engine oil.
Engine oil is the life blood of vehicle and it prevents the engine components to become heat observant.
If the engine has low coolant level, then it overheats in hot weather.
The transmission fluid, break fluid and steering fluid also works as the same way and when you maintain them in
optimal level, they prevent overheating and breakdowns.
If you live in dusty area, always double check the air filter which could be clogged more easily in summer and ultimately gives
you a bad fuel economy.
A clogged air filter also can damage the MAF sensor which measures and regulates the air -fuel mixture.
Sometimes a minor leak in air condition
system can go unnoticed, but
afterwards it can cause problems when
it suddenly stops working.
It's always advisable to keep your vehicle in shades which protects sun damage, but the continuous exposure also can
degrade the seat and interior if proper care is not taken.
If your vehicle has leather interior option, make sure to use leather conditioner which can keep the leather glow and
softness for a long time.
Also make sure to keep the interior dust-free as the sun ray can cook the dust and dirt which is impossible to remove
from interior.
Make sure to check the tire-pressure first in the morning before moving your vehicle to prevent any tire issues in hot
weather.
Also make sure to maintain proper tire pressure which is mentioned in the doorjamb of the driver’s side of the car to
avoid sudden blowout due hot pavement.
Wash your car more often during summer and you should keep it under shades not under direct sunlight while
washing.
After washing, use a soft clean cloth to dry the car thoroughly, if you left a little drop on surface it can cause
corrosion on car paint.
Also wax the car more often in summer which protects the paint from pollution,
dust, debris etc.
The window tinting also protects the interior which doesn't allow sun rays to come inside.
Window tinting keeps the car 20 degrees cooler and prevent UV rays to enter.
And also if you invest a distinct amount in paint protection film kit, it will provide a better protection to the
entire vehicle.
Make sure to test the vehicle battery more often as the hot temperature can take a toll and reduce the energy
efficiency.
