International Cultural Immersion and Exchange (ICIE) is an educational program with double international certification by Gotravindo held on October 6-13, 2018 in Seoul, South Korea. Cooperation with global institution, the program issues double international certificates that will be able to support student educational plan in the future.South Korea is one of the most advanced country in this era. The technology is extremely progressive and sophisticated. However, South Korean never forget their culture and tradition, instead of making their culture and tradition as priority. They never stop to explore and improve the quality of their lives by preserving their traditional way of lives. Learning to balance between preserving culture and advancing technology is what Indonesian youth should learn from South Korean. The example of the balance between advancing technology and preserving culture is when South Korean people still wear their traditional attire proudly on special occasions.

INTERNATIONAL JOURNEY OF NATURE EXPLORATION

The participants will learn about the history of South Korea, meet the people, explore the history, grasp all of the new information and discuss them with the locals.

Learning culture is not always about artificial aesthetic matter such as dance, ceremonies, folksongs or legends and myths, it can also be about nature and all of its parts. South Korea combines art, culture and nature.

The participants will be given short courses about Korean language and its history, as well as the art to achievethe international certificate as a form of appreciation for completing the language lecture and cultural

workshop in Seoul.

TRADITIONAL LIFESTYLE PRACTICES AND OBSERVATION

Completing learning experience by doing the traditional lifestyle practices including making the iconic traditional food of Korea, and wearing the Korean traditional attire, the participants will learn about the history and

background stories behind the tradition.

Every participant will receive double an International Certification issued by Green Korean Language and Gotravindo.

THE SCHEDULE

An exchange is not merely in academic matter, but also in other thing that adjusts participants' journey.

And this is it, the journey begins right when the participants hop up to their planes and fly their way

to Japan. The day will be spent on the sky.

DAY 1

Arriving at Incheon International Airport, the participants will be welcomed by the different

atmosphere full of the fragrant culture and hospitality of South Korean. In the airport, they will meet

and greet with the committees and get airport assistance before going off to the first destination.

Afterwards, they will be lead to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbukgung Palace was the royal palace

of Joseon dynasty. Not only can theylearn about the history of Joseon dynasty, but they can also

witness the exciting changing of guards in Gyeongbokgung Palace. After that, participants will be

taken to study Korean folklores in National Folklore Museum for learning about legends, myths, even

traditional bed time stories full of moral values. The first day in Seoul will be closed by discovering

Cheongyecheon Stream.

DAY 2

DAY 3

Thing should be learned in Seoul is the production of entertainment industry. For this, the participants

will be guided to KBS On, one of the biggest television production; what they could explore here will

be live radio broadcasting through large window and experience being a news anchor. Afterwards,

they will discover Digital Pavilion to experience I-City – virtual city of future realized with the

revolutionary technologies of major Korean ICT Companies and ICT technology by experiencing

interesting games. When the technology experience session done, the participants will continue their

journey to Hongdae Street for short time relaxation and if they are lucky, they will discover live music

or cultural street performance. Also, harmony of culture session will be experience Namsan Tower for

exploring typical romantic view of Seoul.

DAY 4

In the fourth day, the participants will be invited to take old campus tour in Sun learn about Korean

culture and language in Green Korean Language School. They will be taught the variety of active or

dynamic situations in Korean and get international certificate. Also, the participants will visit Hongik

University to get admission briefing and short workshop. After that, One-day visits will be closed in

Dongdaemun Market, where the participants can feel evening busiest Seoul street.

DAY 5

The journey continues in Nami Island. Nami Island is the place full of harmony of culture and humanity.

In Nami Island there are many artists from all over the world showing off their creativity and present

their art to the nature. Then they will experience Hanbok wearing and kimchi making. After that they

will be given time to stroll around Seoul by themselves to get immerse more in the society.

DAY 6

The students still have a chance to take exchange with Korean students in Seoul National University or

SNU. They will visit one of the best university in Seoul. It has futuristic building that will make the

participants can barely take their eyes to close. Interacting and discuss with local students there, the

participants will improve their communication skill and confident to present themselves in

international. Furthermore, the participants will once again explore the technological product from

Samsung in Samsung D'light. The next place that will be visited is Myeongdong Market. Myeongdong

Market is constructed on the concept of combining traditional market and shopping center. In

Myeongdong Market the participants can witness the trading activities of South Korean people and

interact with them.

In the morning the participants will be transferred to airport for homecoming

The participants will arrive in Indonesia with new knowledge about Korean culture in their hearts and

minds that they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
