Parks and Recreation Reservation (Local Reserve)
Updated automatically when MRS amendment is gazetted.
This 4512m2 site has been used for the purpose of a local reserve, commonly known as Garrong Park. The site adjoins Yellagonga Regional Park which is a MRS Parks and Recreation Reserve in addition to a Bush Forever site. The MRS amendment to classify Garrong Park as a Parks and Recreation Reservation is consistent with its current use and will be consistent with the adjoining Yellagonga Regional Park. The MRS Amendment to reclassify Garrong Park as a MRS reserve will automatically amend DPS2 to remove its classification as a local reserve.

DPS2 to be amended. Council may request the WAPC to amend DPS2 under 126(3) of Planning and Development Act 2005. Rural Zone is recommended
Woodvale Drive serves an urban purpose by providing vehicle access to residential and rural landholdings. As such the amendment will rectify the classification of this land from Parks and Recreation Reservation to the Urban Zone. The City will need to request that the WAPC amend DPS2 (under the Planning and Development Act) such that the portion of Woodvale Drive rezoned Urban and Rural in the MRS is also rezoned Rural in DPS2.

DPS2 to be amended. A separate DPS2 amendment is required to zone this portion of road Rural. It is recommended that this landholding be zoned Rural as part of the current DPS2 review/future DPS3.
The second portion of road reserve relates to a narrow section of Woodvale Drive which is 5.2m wide. In this location Woodvale Drive has a dual classification being a 5.2m wide Parks and Recreation Reservation and a 20m wide Rural Zoning. The MRS amendment will rezone the Parks and Recreation Reservation to the Rural Zone which is consistent with the use of the land to provide vehicle access to rural landholdings. A separate DPS2 amendment is required to zone this portion of road. It is recommended it be zoned Rural under DPS2 to be consistent with the balance of the road reserve. Furthermore it is recommended that the DPS2 amendment be undertaken as part of the current DPS2 review process.

DPS2 to be amended. Council may request the WAPC to amend DPS2 under 126(3) of Planning and Development Act 2005. Residential Zone is recommended
This constructed section of Mooro Street and Hocking Road currently has a Parks and Recreation Reservation however it serves an urban purpose by providing vehicle access to residential landholdings. Accordingly, this amendment will reclassify the land as Urban to be consistent with its current use. The City will need to request that the WAPC amend DPS2 (under the Planning and Development Act) so Mooro Street and Hocking Road are zoned Residential to be consistent with the MRS.

DPS2 to be amended. Council may request the WAPC to amend DPS2 under 126(3) of Planning and Development Act 2005. Residential Zone is recommended
This portion of constructed road forming Woodlake Retreat provides access to the adjoining residential development in addition to creating the boundary of Yellagonga Regional Park. The amendment will reclassify the portion of Woodlake Retreat that is currently a Parks and Recreation Reservation to the Urban Zone. The removal of this land from Bush Forever Site 299 is considered appropriate as this land has already been developed as a road and proposal 1 will compensate for this by including Garrong Park into Bush Forever Site 299. The City will need to request that the WAPC amend DPS2 (under the Planning and Development Act) so the portion of Woodlake Retreat is zoned Residential to be consistent with the MRS.
