Just inland from the Al Ghubra fl yover, set against the iconic mountain whose zig-zag road lights up every evening, there is a captivating new neighbour-hood known as Bousher, that you have seen spelled in diff erent ways, from Bausher to Bawsher to Boshar, and it

is situated within the Bousher province of Muscat, bordering Ghala, Azaiba, and Al Khuwair, about 30 kilometres from Muscat International Airport. The area connects to Al Amerat via the incredibly scenic, hilly road of Aqabat Bousher. A surge of recent devel-opments have made it one of the best neighbourhoods to live in.

Blessed with soft sandy dunes, and huge moun-tains, Bousher's residential areas are becoming more and more urbanised and developed with gigantic,

high-end villas, townhouses, and contemporary-de-signed apartments, residential compounds, and com-mercial blocks, which are attracting both locals and expatriates. Rental rates vary from OMR500-2,000 monthly for brand new fl ats and villas with high-end fi nishes in developments such as Bausher Al Muna Compound, Muscat Oasis Residences, and Bousher Heights, as well as one of the original residential and commercial compounds, Dolphin Village.

In this sandy part of Muscat, you will fi nd the fa-mous Sultan Qaboos Stadium, the well-equipped Muscat Private Hospital, and numerous shopping malls, including Muscat Grand Mall, which has Car-refour; Oman Avenues, which has Lulu Hypermarket; the newly-opened Panorama Mall; and soon, the me-ga-project, Mall of Oman.

Beyond shopping, the area is becoming an educa-

tional hub where, on Bousher Street alone, you can fi nd a number of colleges such as Modern College of Busi-ness and Science, Muscat College, Oman Medical Col-lege, and the College of Banking and Financial Studies, along with Arabic, Indian, and French schools.

Surprisingly, there is more than new development in this area, which also boasts historical, hidden gems like the Bousher Fort and Bait Al Maqgam Fortress. The serenity that surrounds the area makes it a fa-vourite picnic spot for many locals, and its also a great place for dune bashing at Bousher Sands if you don't have time to drive to the Sharqiyah desert.

How to do it:• Fill the plate or tray with the shaving foam.• After spreading it around the tray, add a few drops of

acrylic paint on top of the foam.• Get creative by blending, mixing, and forming the

desired design by dragging the sticks through the foam-paint combination.

• Carefully place cardboard or paper on top of your creation; wait for 90 seconds; then slowly remove the paper from the tray.

• Gently wipe the foam off the paper and take in the beautiful patterns left behind.

• Frame the paper or cardboard for a fi ne-art look.
