Presentation’s Objectives
● Virtual Tours: Importance and Types
● Online Teaching: Use of them in asynchronous and
synchronous teaching
● Example: How I have used them in my classes
Virtual educational field trips encourage students to
become active learners and engage with the world around
them.
This way, the students get a real and full experience
of being in a classroom, instead of sitting in front of
a computer or by video chatting.
Virtual Tours
Now, digital technologies and virtualizations are allowing
people to experience and virtualize from wherever they are.
Types of Virtual Tours
360 videos
They use movement, people and sound to take the
audience on a journey or through a story to create
a memorable experience and emotional
connection.
Virtual Tours
The audience can research. It is used to highlight
features and smaller details. Provide contextual
information on the surrounding area for added
impact.
Virtual Tours
walkthrough
They create a walkthrough of a
place. They provide
a smooth experience and allow
the audience to get a feel of the
place.
