Panera Bread Stores #1233, #1741, #1029, #1600 & #1233 - Northeast and Southwest Florida

Renovation of Five Panera Bread Stores located in Northeast and Southwest Florida completed between July

and September, 2014. Renovation work consisted of demolition, interior re-paint, signage, millwork, flooring

replacement, bakery equipment upgrades, electrical and plumbing upgrades and restroom ADA compliance.

All construction activity was completed while maintaining a fully operational and functional store.

Projects - DEC Contracting was the construction of a water and waste water treatment

facility and generator which allowed the school to act as a

hurricane shelter. The school was constructed using tilt-wall

panel construction which allowed construction to be

completed and open for school in under 11 months. Doug Masch was the Project Manager on Palmetto \

Elementary while employed at a previous construction

company, this was not an actual project completed by DEC

Contracting Group, Inc.

Villas Elementary - Fort Myers, Florida

Renovation work consisted of replacement of windows in all

classrooms, new floor finishes, ceilings and lighting, new

classroom millwork. Egress improvements, renovations of

existing group restrooms, expansion of clinic, new entrance

facade, replacement & upgrade of classroom HVAC,

demolition of Amphitheatre and canopy relocation,

replacement of existing P.E. structure with School District

Prototype and roof repair at the Music/Art Building. This

renovation work consisted of 14 different phases all of

which were completed while the facility was occupied.

Doug Masch was the Project Manager on this project while

employed at a previous construction company, this was not

an actual project completed by DEC Contracting Group, Inc.

Wa-ke Hatchee Park - Fort Myers, Florida

Construction of a new Lee County Park totaling 48 acres of

developed ball fields, lakes, walk paths, restroom building,

tennis courts, playground, parking and maintenance

building. The construction was conducted adjacent to tidal

influenced wetlands. This led to many challenges that were

overcome through continuous, effective and concise

communication with multiple governmental authorities

(SFWMD, Lee County Construction & Design, Lee County

Parks Department and Lee County Stormwater).

an actual project completed by DEC Contracting Group, Inc.

Wal-Mart # 8150, 579, 623, 721, 769, 5391, 8173 - Port St. Lucie, St. Augustine, Ft. Myers, Port Charlotte, Venice, Naples & Miromar, Florida

Remodels of seven (7) different Sam's Club and Wal-Mart

Supercenters totaling over $2.5 million and were completed

between the months of April and October. At any given time

there were three (3) projects that were under construction

simultaneously. These remodels consisted of complete

interior and exterior re-paint, joint sealants, signage,

millwork/laminate replacement, complete store flooring

replacement, refrigeration replacement, vision centers,

hearing centers, electrical upgrades, plumbing upgrades,

tire and lube upgrades, restroom ADA compliance, plastic

laminate wainscot, ceramic tile, oven and dishwasher

upgrades and epoxy flooring. All construction activities were

completed while maintaining a fully operational and

functional store. Safety and the ability not to disrupt sales

and the customer experience was paramount to the success

of these projects.

Doug Masch was the Project Manager on this project while

employed at a previous construction company, this was not

an actual project completed by DEC Contracting Group, Inc.

Gulf Elementary Mechanical Renovations - Cape Coral, Florida

Renovations consisted of complete removal and replacement of all HVAC systems (chillers, air handlers,

piping, duct work and insulation), fire protection systems, upgrade to electrical and plumbing systems,

construction of new walls, painting and installation of new acoustical ceiling This work was conducted in three

(3) phases two of which were completed while the school was occupied. Phase II consisted of two (2) chiller

removal and replacement and five (5) air handlers removal and replacement , construction of new walls,

painting and acoustical ceiling which occupied approximately 66% of the school. The phase II work was

completed in seven (7) weeks.

This site / civil project was a refurbishment to an existing

storm retention system. The existing pond liner and

underdrains were removed in their entirety. The bottom

and slopes were re-graded to meet proposed grades.

Concrete pipe and mitered end sections were removed and

replaced to meet new elevations and match the new

slopes/banks. Modifications to the pond outlet structure

were performed. New rip-rap was installed around the

newly installed mitered end sections. Construction activities

for this project were completed in the months of June and

July. This project was completed on time, within budget and

required effective communication with Wal-mart and the

local / state agencies.
