PROJECT WORKERRole OverviewTo carry out sustainable energy project work at a range of levels covering the broad subject areas of affordable warmth, energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out sustainable energy project work on a range of projects in the field of affordable warmth, energy efficiency, sustainable development and renewable energy.
Assisting with problem solving and providing information and support for customers via the phone, email and face to face at events.
Raising awareness of sustainable energy amongst community groups and professionals by implementing structured programmes of training and information campaigns under the guidance of a project manager.
Highlighting any potential development opportunities to extend and enhance existing partnerships and links to existing schemes and services
Assisting in the planning and organising promotional events aimed at a wide range of organisations
Organising and delivering presentations or facilitation of meetings for a wide range of organisations, in all sectors under the direction of a Project Manager.
Research and keep up to date with relevant issues informing others as required
Preparing promotional or information materials, including providing website input and use of social media
Supporting a range of Severn Wye Energy projects and staff as required

events To deal with customer and partner enquires Follows all organisational policies and procedures, and assists in ensuring
that these are applied consistently across the organisation
Required Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssential:Qualifications or Experience in
Qualifications or experience in any of the following or similar: research, administration, event organisation
Desirable but not essential: Academic qualifications in a relevant discipline eg. energy, engineering, architecture, building services, ecology, environmental science, housing.
Good general knowledge of sustainable energy technologies, sustainable development issues
Excellent customer care skills – a willingness to understand and deal effectively with customer enquiries
Excellent verbal and written presentation skills Computer literate: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet,
social media, database, web tools (e.g. Typo3). Excellent organisational skills including event organisation Experience of using a range of media for communication Numerate and literate Driving licence and own car to use
Desirable: Knowledge of behaviour change in energy and/or environmental fields Knowledge and experience of housing, health and social care services and
practice Knowledge or experience of project management Good general knowledge of energy infrastructure in UK Experience of working in, or in support of, local or other statutory
authorities Knowledge of sustainable development Experience of stakeholder engagement and facilitation Working knowledge of second language (other European or Welsh)
