St. Joan of ArcSanctuary Air Conditioning UpgradeHershey, Pennsylvania

One of the most beautiful church facilities in our area, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey Pennsylvania, was in need of an upgrade to the aging HVAC system that serves its sanctuary.

Using their vast experience and creativity, CRAFT designers recommended replacement of existing air conditioning condensers, air handler coils and piping with a new chiller system. Included in this new system was a new air-cooled scroll chiller, with vibration isolation and new steel support framing. Supply and containment piping, replacement coils for existing air handlers and oversized drain pans under each unit were also added.

The existing air distribution system (ductwork) was upgraded with new supply air diffusers and new return air ducts to eliminate uncomfortable warm areas, thus increasing air flow throughout the previously inadequate system.

The CRAFT project team consisted of Andy Leh, Estimator; Fred Craft & Steve Ferree, Design Team; Eric Miller, Project Manager, and Randy Doxzon, Project Superintendent. The project started in December of 2014 and was completed by the end of March of 2015.New air handler piping with drain pan.
