BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND

Churn has been a big problem in 2009; a total of 2,494 FT customers were permanently disconnected. Sixty four percent (64%) or 1,584 were due to non-payment of their accounts while thirty six percent (36%) or 910 were requested by the customer. Of the 910 customer initiated disconnections, thirty six percent (36%) or 331 of the 910 were due to financial constraints. And continues to be a problem for the 1st trimester of 2010.

With the positive result of Project FaceOff and FaceOff Level Up for both Bayan Consumer and Regional and with the newest Halfway Product offering of Bayan Global. Project Hockey, Family Ties Downgrade to Halfway and converted BPE Prepaid would be the best solution to arrest the significant increase of churn.

OBJECTIVESOBJECTIVES

To extend FT customers’ subscription by offering a downgrade program to Halfway Service for customers who are financially constrained to continue their FT subscriptions;

To influence FT customers to continue their subscription to the Bayan unlimited calling service instead of

disconnecting their accounts – the downgrade of their account to Halfway reduces their monthly service pay-out or a savings of 30~38%; and

To maximize the use of the Bayan Phone landphones, BPE handheld and desktop phones issued to FT beneficiaries – the downgrade of their account to Halfway allows the

customer to continue to use the issued phones as nominated or registered numbers for unlimited calling. Essentially, the beneficiary’s units will be converted from post-paid to pre-paid accounts.
