PIR Motion Sensor• A passive Infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that

measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view. They are most often used in PIR-based motion detectors

• The PIR sensor itself has two slots in it, each slot is made of a special material that is sensitive to IRS

• When a warm body like a human or animal passes by, it first intercepts one half of the PIR sensor, which causes a positive differential change between the two halves

• When the warm body leaves the sensing area, the reverse happens, whereby the sensor generates a negative differential change. These change pulses are what is detected

• When the sensor is idle, both slots detect the same amount of IR, the ambient amount radiated from the room or walls or outdoors

Power Supply

– 3.3 to 5VDC output– 9-12VDC input range– Backup battery >= 250mA at 12VDC– Output ripple <= 20mV peak to peak– Work off of both 120VAC and Battery– Efficiency >= 75%– Transient Voltage Protection– 110 VAC US regular outlet

Solar Panel

• Technical specs need to look at:– Optimal voltage– Optimal current – Short circuit current– Maximum wattage– Fuse rating

12V Lead Acid Battery Charger This charger will charge any 12V lead acid battery including

flooded, gel and AGM It is fully automatic and will charge at a rate up to about 4A

until the battery voltage reaches a preset point at which it will switch to a very low current float charge

If the battery voltage drops again the charger will begin charging until the voltage once again reaches the cut off point

In this way it can be left connected to a battery indefinitely to maintain full charge without causing damage. An LED indicates when the battery is fully charged

12V Lead Acid Battery ChargerThis 12 volt Lead Acid battery charger that

automatically shut off the charging process once the battery attains full charge

If the terminal voltage of the battery reduces below the set level, 13.5 volts, the circuit automatically turns on to the charge mode

12 V Lead Acid battery attains full charge at 13.8V. It is better to give a higher voltage ( 3 or 4 volts) because there will be a voltage drop in through the circuit and also the LED takes around 2 volts
