Para Constanza «promover es también capacitar» al sector para aprovechar al máximo las oportunidades que ofrece el mercado internacional, en cada una de las fases de la cadena de producción. CinemaChile participó en múltiples casos exitosos en los últimos años, siendo «A Fantastic Woman» de Sebastián Lelio, la primera película chilena en ganar un Oscar a la Mejor Película Extranjera en 2018, el caso más exitoso.

Constanza Arena is Executive Director of CinemaChile. In these years, the institution has been behind the successful positioning of Chile in the world as an exceptional cinematography, creating an innovative working model and methodology for the promotion of its cinema. For Constanza "to promote is also to train" the sector to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the international market to the maximum, in each of the phases of the production chain. CinemaChile has been involved in multiple successful cases in recent years, being “A Fantastic Woman” by Sebastián Lelio, the first Chilean film to win an Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2018, the most successful case.

Originaria de Honduras, es licenciada en comunicación, marketing y psicología organizacional, así como en estudios cinematográficos en México y en la EICTV de Cuba. Radicada en Alemania desde 2003, participa regularmente como consultora y formadora en organizaciones como el Instituto de Cine Mediterráneo, ACE Producers y el World Cinema Fund de la Berlinale. Desde febrero de 2018 es la directora del mercado de coproducción Connecting Cottbus East-West.

Originally from Honduras, she holds degrees in communications, marketing and organizational psychology, as well as film studies in Mexico and the EICTV in Cuba. Based in Germany since 2003, regularly engaged as consultant and trainer with organizations like the Mediterranean Film Institute, ACE Producers and the Berlinale World Cinema Fund. Since February 2018 she is head of Connecting Cottbus East-West Co-production Market.

Tras trabajar en el área de cortometraje del IMCINE y de difusión e investigación del CCC, dirigió el Encuentro Iberoamericano de Coproducción del Festival de Guadalajara. Codirigió durante 10 años el Morelia Lab, taller de formación para productores. Fue Delegada para Latinoamérica del Festival de San Sebastián y actualmente es coordinadora de las iniciativas profesionales del Festival de Morelia.

After working in the short film area of IMCINE and in the diffusion and research area of the CCC, she directed the Ibero-American Coproduction Meeting of the Guadalajara Festival. She co-direct-ed for 10 years the Morelia Lab, a training workshop for producers. She was the Delegate for Latin America at San Sebastian Film Festival and is currently the coordinator of professional initia-tives at Morelia Festival.

JUAN MANUEL TORRES DirectorLatido Films

Tras varios años en adquisiciones de cine para diversas distribuidoras españolas, es actualmente Director de Ventas de LATIDO FILMS, agencia especializada en cine latino y responsable de distribuir películas como «El hoyo», el film de habla no inglesa más visto en la historia NETFLIX. Previamente fue agente Agente de Ventas de los filmes de Paulo Branco y trabajó para el Marché du film del Festival de Cannes.

After several years in film acquisitions for various Spanish distributors, he is currently Sales Director of LATIDO FILMS, an agency specialized in Latin cinema and responsible for distributing films such as "El hoyo", the most watched non-English speaking film in the history of NETFLIX. Previously he was Sales Agent for Paulo Branco's films and worked for the Marché du film at the Cannes Film Festival.

Bobby Allen is the SVP of Production at MUBI, a curated subscription-based streaming service, theatrical distributor and producer. Based out of MUBI’s global headquarters in London, Bobby leads the company’s production arm and is responsible for developing and producing MUBI’s films worldwide. Vicente Canales inició su carrera en 1998 en Filmax, compañía distribuidora, productora y agente de ventas. Ganó experiencia en desarrollo y en marketing, finalmente descubriendo su vocación en el departamento de ventas internacionales, donde gestionó las ventas de la franquicia Rec, así como «El maquinista» de Brad Anderson y muchos más. Durante los años siguientes, adquirió un profundo conocimiento de la industria y, en 2010, Canales abandonó Filmax para crear su propia empresa, Film Factory Entertainment, logrando en poco tiempo una posición líder en la venta internacional de las producciones españolas más importantes.

Vicente Canales started his career in 1998 at the Spanish distribution, production and sales company, Filmax. He gained experience in development and marketing, finally discovering his vocation in the international sales department, where he was in charge of selling the REC Franchise, THE MACHINIST by Brad Anderson and many more. Over the following years, he acquired a deep knowledge of the industry and, in 2010, Canales left Filmax to start his own company, Film Factory Entertainment, soon achieving a leading position in the international sale of Spain’s most important productions.

Luego de un máster en ciencias políticas y gestión de medios de comunicación y de un año de prácticas en la San Francisco Film Society, Clémence Lavigne estudió distribución cinematográfica en la Escuela de Cine La Fémis de Francia. Allí escribió un ensayo sobre ventas y financiación de películas que la llevó a empezar a trabajar como agente de ventas de Celluloid Dreams en 2016. En 2017, ganó el Best Sellers Contest Award de Cinando durante el Marché du Film de Cannes. Se unió a Doc & Film International en enero de 2018 como Directora de Adquisiciones y Ventas del departamento de cine. En octubre de 2019, Doc & Film International fue comprada por la empresa de distribución Jour2Fête. Clémence Lavigne se convirtió en co-jefa de ventas y adquisiciones de la nueva compañía de ventas: The Party Film Sales.

After a master’s degree in political science and media management, and a one-year internship at the San Francisco Film Society, Clémence Lavigne studied film distribution at France’s La Femis Film School where she wrote an essay on film sales and financing which eventually led her to start working as a sales agent for Celluloid Dreams in 2016. Then, in 2017, she won the Cinando Best Sellers Contest Award during the Cannes Film Market. She joined Doc & Film International in January 2018 as the Acquisition and Sales Manager of the cinema department. In October 2019, Doc & Film International was bought out by distribution company Jour2Fête. Clémence Lavigne became co-head of sales and acquisitions for the newly born sales company: The Party Film Sales.

Dennis Ruh started his professional career in 2008 at the Oldenburg International Film Festival, where he became a co-director in 2011. From 2010, he also worked for Independent Partners Distribution. In 2012, he became department head for international festival relations and producers liaison at German Films. Since 2020, he is director of the European Film Market.

Después de 12 años trabajando para el Ministerio de asuntos exteriores de Francia en el área audiovisual en México, EEUU y en Colombia, dirigió entre 2015 y 2018 el servicio de cine de Ecla, la agencia cultural de la región Aquitaine, manejando un fondo de fomento cinematográfico de 3M€. Desde 2018 es delegado general del Festival Biarritz Amérique latine, encargado como tal de la programación, la financiación y el desarrollo del festival.

After working for 12 years for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the audiovisual depart-ment in Mexico, the USA and Colombia, between 2015 and 2018 he was the head of the film service of Ecla, the cultural agency of the Aquitaine Region, where he managed a film develop-ment fund of € 3M. Since 2018 he is the General Delegate of the Biarritz Film Festival Amérique Latine, being in charge of the programming, financing and development of the festival.

She is an EAVE graduate and member of the European Film Academy.
