MuseuM anD cItyАt the beginning of the XXIst century the question of city’s transformation is becoming relevant as ever.

Infrastructural development, rational exploitation of city’s areas, comfortable conditions for life and work

are the topical issues. at the same time considerable transformation of cultural and social institutes is

taking place in particular it concerns museums. It is suggested to discuss possibilities of cooperation

between city and Museum on the conference, mutual participation in planning, their cooperation and

confrontation.

the auDIence: new look today museums are not only the richest collections of monuments of material culture, but also a special

type of communication with groups of audience, that are presented by these monuments. what kind of

groups consist museum’s audience? what are their values, priorities and interests? looking for ways to

cooperation, new topics for dialogues is the main goal of museum today.

MuseuM assocIatIons anD networks: targets anD prospectsthe main purpose of associations, unions and networks of museums and museum organizations is to

promote the development of the museum sector at the national and international stage: the develop-

ment of professional skills, the creation of new collaborating forms between members of the organization,

protection the interests of the member organizations, the creation of new target directions for the sector,

etc. what challenges is faced by associations of museums in russia and abroad? what horizons do heads

of networks see today?

MuseuM 2.0role do Internet portals, blogs and profiles play on social networking in the museum’s activity. Do they

play the role of tools in the fight for the visitor or the way of activity expansion in space and time? virtual

representation or additional area for development? platform for informal dialogue with the visitor or the

basis for the organization of professional networks?

eDucatIonal prograMs In the MuseuMMuseums act as keepers and popularizers of knowledge. how does the education process being carried

out in the museum? how it differs from general and additional education, in what competitive environment

of popularizes museums are? online blocks and lectures’ programs – is it exhausted list?

partIcIpantsrussian and foreign expects in the sphere of museums’ consulting, strategic development of urban

areas, managers, specialists of Moscow museums and other russian regions, initiators of socio-cultural

projects and representatives of mass media will participate in the conference.

the conference will be also opened to the students specialized on these sphere.
