Goals for 2017-2021A. By 2018, we will prioritize the vocabulary in each unit in order to focus on conceptual learning and utilization of skills to enhance the retention of student learning.
B. By 2019, revise current and explore new PBL opportunities to increase the hands-on learning experiences for the students in grades 6-8
C. By 2020, strategically add the tenets of sustainability (personal & home applications of environmental conservations) through the resource management and foods/nutrition units in order to motivate student to reflect upon how their choices and actions can impact personal lives and the greater community.
D. By 2021, 8th grade students will participate in a capstone service learning project that will combine FACS skills and standards with a pragmatic learning experience that meets societal needs.

E. By 2021, conduct research on the impact of technology on family life in order to create a greater awareness of how ICT use and misuse can influence child development, consumerism and personal finances.
