Although I left the business in 2002 to pursue a culinary arts program, I am still involved with motion

After 10 years in the high end broadcast production world, I started my own motion design business, Your
Logo Here, based around the Macintosh and all the graphic software available. From AfterEffects to Final
Cut Pro, I produced commercials, logo treatments, websites and corporate identity pieces for many
clients.

S. Lawrence Post was the first all digital editing facility in the Southwest, certainly the first in Austin. We
took delivery of the first Quantel EditBox installed in the US. The Editbox allowed for realtime, non-linear
editing without compression. I was able to learn the system and was one of the in house editors on staff.
On the graphic end, I used a DP/Max by Colorgraphics. The DP/Max was a paint system, realtime
compositing and 3D animation machine. I also operated a Macintosh system with AfterEffects,
Photoshop, Illustrator and Infini-D 3D software.

I was hired at Metropost as a machine room operator in charge of the videotape room, loading tape
machines, riding levels and assisting the online editor. Toward the end of 1988, a company known as
Dubner introduced a computer paint system - similar to the Quantel Paintbox. I sat in front of that
machine day and night and soon I was replaced in the machine room so I could operated the Dubner
system full time. Many of our clients were on a national level including Coors, Southwest Airlines,
SeaWorld and WalMart.

My first job in the communication field. I was the guy that inserted local commercials in the network
programming. From sign-on to sign-off my duties included monitoring FCC levels, tape duplication,
editing and operating a ENG truck for live news updates in the field.
