Case Study

Did you know?PROTECbubble can be offered with lamination film for enhanced protection

and printing option for branding purpose.

Innovative, customized solution for packaging of sensitive and delicate products

Existing packaging : Paper padding

Problems Identified : Existing paper packing and padding processes used in the industry have too many defects. This packing system bloats up the entire material. It only fills the gaps but provides no cushioning, thereby making the product susceptible to damage which increases the cost. It is also not moisture-resistant. All these problems have resulted in the dire requirement of a quality protection solution which will plug all the faults prevailing in the industry of protection materials.

Solution by Supreme: PROTECcapcell inserts & cushioning pads

Supreme Advantage : Supreme Industries Ltd. offers an excellent solution PROTECcapcell inserts. The product also works as cushioning pads for transporting delicate and sensitive objects. PROTECcapcell padding is an outstanding cushioning material which is made up of closed-cell foams. This is the salient feature of the product as it allows compact cushioning. Closed-cell foams provide great resistance to moisture and water absorption. PROTECcapcell does not occupy much of a space and hence reduces the box size eventually resulting in relatively lesser transportation cost.

Benefit : More than 8% reduction in packaging cost and breakage reduction by 95%.

Recyclable & environment friendly foams set to revolutionize art of decorationIn a country like India with diverse culture and rich heritage, every festival is celebrated with great pomp. Pandals and grand decorations have become a common sight during festivals and celebrations, be it Durga Puja, Navratri or Ganesh Utsav.

After the celebrations, this decoration needs to be disposed off. However, due to the non-recyclable nature of the material used, it becomes difficult to dispose them off, which is a nightmare for the event organizers. Also because of its weight, it becomes physically exhaustive to move the pandals and decorations from one place to another. As a result of this, recyclable and light weight decorative products have become the need of the day.

After intense research, Supreme has come up with an innovative product range that is 100% recyclable. The product range includes foams like PROTECarmour sheets, PROTECrods, PROTECtubes, PROTECprofiles, PROTECnet, etc... Supreme PROTEC foam products ride on some interesting salient features that score several advantages over its competitors.

Supreme foam products are 100% recyclable and environment friendly. Being closed-cell products, they remain unaffected by water. Since Supreme foam products are light in weight, they are easy to carry even at distant places and hence can be worked upon on site too. Supreme products are available in various sizes and colors as per the clients' requirement.

PROTECixpe is a range of precisely controlled physically crosslinked foams to ensure excellent finish, better properties & very fine uniformly engineered cell structure. PROTECixpe being inert can be extensively used in various demanding applications in medical, pharma, tapes, gaskets and insulation.

Manufactured by irradiation process using latest Electron Beam technology, PROTECixpe ensures precise uniform cell structure, with better physical and mechanical properties than chemically crosslinked

foams. Very fine cell structure offers smooth surface finish and better flexibility that ensures superior fitment of gaskets. PROTECixpe has low and stable ‘K’ Value for better insulation properties and improved energy saving.

Low water absorption leaves no possibility of contact corrosion when used on metallic surfaces. Its smooth surface also gives low adhesive consumption and better adhesion on the surface. Being a physically crosslinked foam, PROTECixpe is inert and can therefore be used in various applications like medical, pharma, food packaging etc. It is RöHS compliant, environment friendly and CFC / HCFC free.

Supreme introduces PROTECixpe - a range of high performance physically (irradiated) crosslinked polyethylene foams

demanding HVAC insulation needs.

TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) was established in 1974 to deal with the acute problems of gradual depletion of earth's finite energy resources and the existing methods of their misuse.

TERI developed a tool for measuring and rating a building's environmental performance in context of India's varied climate and building practices. The rating system, called ‘Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment’ (GRIHA) quantifies parameters like energy consumption, waste generation, renewable energy adoption over the entire life cycle of the building.

This rating system adapted and adopted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in 2007 assists organizations to meet the 34 criteria of green rating system set up for green buildings.

Thus the products can be used on any of GRIHA rated projects and the application of approved products on such projects.

We feel great pride to announce that Supreme’s INSU range of products have been included in the GRIHA Product Catalogue under the following categories:-

- GRIHA criteria 14 & 27 and SVAGRIHA criteria 5 for INSUshield, INSUreflector and INSUboard

- GRIHA criteria 14 & 27 for INSUflex and INSUshield-tubing

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) INSUshield

Comparison between Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

and INSUshield (FR, closed-cell, crossedlinked PE foam)

Fire ResistanceExtremely inflammable, even with addition of inhibitors the material burns aggressively releasing toxic gases and dense smoke. These not only cause suffocation but also hamper rescue operations

Meets requirements of BS 476 Part 7 Class 1, for surface spread of flame characteristics. In the event of fire material does not release toxic gases or dense smoke

Chemical StabilityMaterial is prone to damage by hydrocarbons. The cells break away with time leading to cavities for moisture entrapment, effecting its properties adversely

Unaffected by most acids and chemi-cals. Offers high resistance to ingress of moisture, thus its properties remain unaltered with time

Thermal ConductivityThermal conductivity of material is low and is unaffected by changes in atmospheric humidity

Thermal conductivity in service increases, as cells crack down due to weak structure and faster ageing of material occurs

Temperature RangeUpper temperature limit mentioned is +80°C only

Material is suitable for temperature up to +115°C

Did you know?To improve the quality of construction between the PCC and RCC, Supreme

offers high performance DURAvapourbarrier (water vapour barrier material)

a cost-effective alternative to conventional products like LDPE films.

The construction sector in India is going through a lean patch. Last fiscal year saw a mediocre growth of 6%. However the sector is likely to reach 7.6% growth in this fiscal year, signifying bright prospects in coming years.

However, the Union Budget of 2014-15 promises greener pastures as the construction sector look to make amends with state intent of 3,000 km of projects under various government schemes. As a result of the intent, several big projects have received shot in the arm. Development of state highways, rural road development, apart from building of railway corridors are the nucleus of attention for the fiscal year

of 2014-15. Buoyed by the reforms and reviewed policies by PPP and Coal India Limited (CIL), the new policies are only meant for some encouraging changes in the construction and power supply sector.

Staying Happy At Work - A happy mind is key to better productivity

Winners of BUZZ-Vol2-Issue-1 - Puzzle-Matics

With long working hours comes boredom. Why make your workplace a stale place when you spend most of the hours of day there? Research proves that happy workplace results in better productivity. Globally acclaimed business schools and psychologists have approved these researches. Here are some useful tips to make your workplace a better and happier place to live in.

Stay PositiveYou are doing that job because you love it. Draw inspiration and positivity from the fact that you are doing the job in your company because you deserve and desire it. More you feel positive about it, more you will enjoy doing it.

Don't Stay StaticStored water often turns stale. This is what exactly happens with our mood. Most of our office time is spent sitting on our chairs, immobile. More often than not, it affects our mood leading us to boredom. Listen to music, walk for sometime after every 45 minutes to refresh yourself. Wash your face once in couple of hours to make yourself feel reenergized.

Friends Are Your FamilyYour colleagues are your family at workplace. Even they feel bored once in a while during work. Develop a support system for each other. A casual chat with your 'friends at work' lightens up the mood and helps you enjoy your work.

Sharing is CaringAs they say, sharing happiness amplifies it. Sharing food and delicacies with your colleagues creates a friendly atmosphere.

Have Some FunYour desk is your territory at the workplace. Decorate it the way you wish. It will give your personalized touch to the desk, making you feel good even during tedious working schedules.

Eat Healthy, Stay HealthyA healthy mind is a happy mind. Staying hungry dulls your mood. Munch something once in a while to not to starve yourself. Drink lots of water to keep you hydrated and energized all the time.
