Purpose  of  this  document   This  user  guide  has  been  created  to  provide  a  step-­‐by-­‐step  guide  to  candidates  of  the  ITIL  Master  Qualification  so  they  understand  what  is  expected  of  them  when  submitting  their  details,  proposal  and  work  packages  for  assessment  of  their  work  by  the  Accreditor’s  Assessors.      Step  1  -­‐  Log  In   The  Examination  Institutes  register  candidates  for  the  ITIL  Master  Qualification;  further  to  this  an  email  is  sent  to  the  candidate  with  an  Activation  Link  and  User  Name  as  follows:      Dear  Candidate    You  have  been  registered  for  the  ITIL  Master  Qualification  by  [EI  Name].    Please  click  on  the  following  Activation  Link  and  enter  the  username  provided  below  to  activate  your  account  and  access  the  ITIL  Master  Online  System  to  complete  your  application:      Activation  Link:  http://training.itil.development.local/Account/Activation.aspx?g=#####(unique_reference)    Username:  Candidate.###    Please  also  note  your  candidate  number  which  is  below.  This  must  be  retained  for  inclusion  on  all  of  your  written  submissions:      EG:  ITILM/OIA/0000###    Many  Thanks    Official  ITIL  Accreditor      If  you  do  not  have  any  Log  in  details  you  will  need  to  contact  an  Examination  Institute  or  contact  the  ITIL  Official  Accreditor  for  more  information.    

   Enter  the  User  name  provided  in  the  email  and  click  next.  

 

 

 

Select  a  4-digit  PIN,  verify  the  Pin  and  confirm  the  Pin  –  this  will  then  request  that  you  select  a  Password.

The  Password  must  be  at  least  9  characters  and  must  contain  at  least  one  uppercase  letter  and  a  number.    

 

 

It  will  be  confirmed  that  the  Pin  and  Password  have  been  set,  which  will  then  go  into  the  system  for  the  Registration  to  be  completed.  

 

 

When  Logging  in  from  this  point  you  will  be  prompted  to  select  3  out  of  4  digits  of  the  PIN  and  3  random  characters  of  the  password.  

There  is  also  a  link  for  “Forgotten  Username”  and  “Forgotten  PIN/Password”  link  (accessed  once  the  username  has  been  given).

Step  2  –  Registration    To  complete  the  registration  it  will  be  necessary  to  enter  the  required  information  noting  the  following:          All  “Your  Details”  fields  are  mandatory.                You  only  need  to  provide  one  phone  number.      You  need  to  provide  at  least  2  unique  Identifying  details.        Employee  details  are  optional.  

       Please  note  that  once  these  details  have  been  submitted  you  can  only  change  them  via  a  Change  Request.

Acceptance  of  the  Registration  will  be  received  from  the  Accreditor.    Once  logged  in,  the  options  available  are  as  follows:

located.    Once  submitted,  it  can  only  be  changed  via  a  change  request.  

Add  the  required  personal  information  in  order  for  your  details  to  be  validated  through  the  process  of  assessment.  

Application  Form   This  is  where  you  need  to  provide  more  information  about  your  submission  –  the  Candidate  Guidelines  outline  the  requirements  for  the  application.  

Includes  adding  referees,  supporting  documents  and  completing  the  declaration.  

Proposal   This  is  where  you  need  to  provide  details  of  your  proposal  so  it  can  be  reviewed  by  assessors  to  confirm  it  is  acceptable.

Work  Package   This  is  where  you  submit  your  Work  Package   See  Step  4  and  candidate  guidelines.  

Interview   This  is  where  you  schedule  an  interview  and  where  you  will  receive  your  feedback.  

 

Certification     This  is  where  you  will  find  the  outcome  of  your  certification  and  any  feedback.  

 

 It  also  displays  the  Examination  Institute  who  registered  the  candidate.

Step  3  –  Application   All  fields  are  mandatory  –  you  need  to  complete  all  sections  of  the  application  form  in  order  to  proceed.

   For  more  information  on  the  eligibility  criteria  ensure  you  read  the  Candidate  Guidelines.        Referees  Please  include  your  referees  and  select  the  type  of  referee,  eg.  Referee  Sponsor  or  Project  Witness  or  both.        If  you  only  have  one  available,  you  may  be  warned  about  this  at  the  end  of  the  application,  but  you  will  still  be  able  to  proceed.    

 Supporting  Documents  The  ID  documents  must  be  uploaded.    If  there  are  reasons  why  documents  cannot  be  provided,  they  should  be  entered  here.    Documents  already  submitted  by  the  EI  will  be  pre-­‐loaded  into  this  section  of  the  application.    If  the  EI  has  not  uploaded  a  CV,  this  should  be  uploaded  here.        Declarations  and  Submission  When  you  submit  the  form,  you  will  be  prompted  to  re-­‐enter  your  password  before  proceeding.    Once  submitted,  you  will  not  be  presented  with  this  form  again.

Step  4  –  Proposal    

Proposal  Details    Add  the  title  and  a  brief  description  of  your  proposal.    More  guidance  on  this  can  be  found  in  the  Candidate  Guidelines.                  Elements  Section    Download  the  templates  to  complete  the  Elements  and  Proposal.    The  requirements  and  scope  are  included  as  guidance.                  

   Document  Upload    Once  you  have  completed  the  requirements,  you  can  upload  them  here.                

   The  proposal  will  be  sent  to  the  Assessors  in  order  to  confirm  if  the  proposed  work  package  will  meet  the  requirements  of  the  qualification.    Once  accepted,  you  will  be  able  to  move  to  the  Work  Package  submission.

Step  5  –  Work  Package   Work  Package  Details    When  submitting  the  Work  Package,  enter  the  title,  total  word  count,  number  of  pages  and  total  number  of  appendices.       Document  Checklist    This  is  to  help  you  make  sure  that  you  have  covered  all  the  requirements  and  scope  for  the  qualifications.    List  the  assignments  included,  and  then  using  the  checklist  provide  references  by  section  and  page  which  will  show  that  you  have  covered  everything.  This  will  also  provide  the  assessors  with  additional  information  to  help  them  navigate  the  work  package  to  find  the  relevant  requirements.  

 NOTE:  it  is  strongly  recommended  that  candidates  use  this  checklist  as  a  tool  when  writing  their  Work  Package  to  ensure  they  are  covering  all  requirements,  and  save  updates  on  a  regular  basis.      There  is  an  upload  page,  a  page  to  add  or  check  the  referees,  and  you  will  need  to  complete  the  declaration  section  prior  to  submitting  the  Work  Package.    Once  submitted,  it  will  be  sent  to  the  assessors  as  documented  in  the  candidate  guidelines.    Once  assessed,  the  results  and  feedback  will  be  sent  via  the  system.      Step  6  –  Interview
