Greetings, I am responding to your job posting because I feel that I can offer your organization a valuable combination of enthusiasm and quality performance.  Upon my graduation from Florida A & M University where I received a Master of Business Administration with an undergraduate concentration in Marketing I began a fulfilling journey in the pharmaceutical industry. My ten year career with GlaxoSmithKline/ViiV Healthcare has revealed a continual career progression from Field Sales Co-Op, Marketing Data Management Intern, Beecham Sales Force Representative, HIV Clinical Specialist, HIV Community Specialist to a current position as a HIV Account Manager. By performing the duties and responsibilities of these positions I have demonstrated the ability to thoroughly learn multiple disease states, quickly adapt to various segments of the healthcare market, and manage territories requiring as much as 80% travel. These positions have also afforded me the opportunity to build and maintain thriving relationships with prescribers, healthcare support staff, social services professionals, advocacy leaders and key decision makers in medication access on the local, state and national levels.  Once you have reviewed my qualifications, I would love to tell you more about my background. My enclosed resume will give you a deeper understanding of my professional history, skills and affiliations and I welcome you to view my LinkedIn Profile and Professional Portfolio at http://www.linkedin.com/pub/tiffany-roan/4a/2a2/189 as well. I appreciate your consideration and look forward to the opportunity of speaking with you soon. Please contact me if you have any questions or require further information.

Sincerely,

Tiffany S. Roan, MBA

American Academy of HIV MedicinePharmaceutical Representative Certification

Since 2002, HCPs who care for HIV patients could receive accreditation from the American Academy

of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). AAHIVM is the only independent organization offering

healthcare providers serving the HIV community credentialing as HIV specialist.

Completion of this program certifies that these providers have an expert level of HIV care and helps

ensure that those living with HIV are treated by healthcare providers with a set standard of knowledge

and care.

ViiV Healthcare is the first HIV company to participate in the new AAHIVM certificate

program developed for HIV sales professionals. The program gives participants greater

insight into the disease, and into how HCPs approach treatment decisions for their HIV patients.

With the completion of this certificate program VIiV Healthcare field teams will now have the

AAHIVM logo and “Continuing medical education provided by AAHIVM” added to their business

cards.

As part of our commitment to bring innovation to all our business processes, ViiV Healthcare will

work with AAHIVM to roll out additional certificate programs for our US based field representatives

over the next three years.ViiV Healthcare Site Updated 21 March, 2011

Volunteer Involvement Program (V.I.P.)  Non-Profit Board Development Training

United Way V.I.P. trains people from ethnically diverse and under-represented populations for leadership roles in nonprofit agencies by leading participants through a comprehensive 10-week nonprofit service curriculum.  Started in 1992, V.I.P. now has more than 1,600 graduates.  By

bringing ethnically diverse individuals into leadership positions, nonprofits enhance their understanding of the diverse needs of their clients and become better able to meet those needs.

Training Summary Participants will engage in a series of workshops that will provide them with the basics of becoming

an effective board member.  The workshops include Board and Staff Roles and Responsibilities; Marketing for Nonprofits; Ethics; Strategic Planning; Fundraising; Legal Responsibilities and more.  During the training, participants meet representatives from metro Atlanta nonprofit organizations to find an organization with a mission and needs that complements their own skills and interests.

Selection ProcessApplications are solicited community-wide. Key volunteers along with V.I.P. alumni are also asked to nominate individuals for participation in the program. The selection committee reviews applications and selects no more than 25 individuals per class. The selections criteria are designed to recruit a group of demonstrated leaders who are diverse in their ethnicity, profession and community service.

Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP)

The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) was developed at Stanford

University Patient Education Research Center as a collaborative research project between

Stanford and the Northern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program.

In a five-year research project, the CDSMP was evaluated in a randomized study

involving more than 1000 subjects. This study found that people who took the program,

when compared to people who did not take the program, improved their healthful

behaviors (exercise, cognitive symptom management, coping, and communications with

physicians), improved their health status (self-reported health, fatigue, disability,

social/role activities, and health distress), and decreased their days in the hospital.

This program may only be used or reproduced by organizations licensed by Stanford

University.

National AIDS Service Organization Day

On March 20, 1987 Burroughs-Wellcome received FDA approval for AZT, the first commercialized treatment for HIV/AIDS. The news provided hope for a community devastated by the effects of the disease and made a permanent mark in medical history. In 2008, GlaxoSmithKline decided to commemorate that historic moment by developing the annual celebration of National ASO Day. National ASO Day is the one day of each year that all field sales teams are to spend time interacting with the community thatwe serve.
