COURSE DELIVERY AND REQUIREMENTS

Each of the three courses in this pathway is a fully online course consisting of eight modules delivered over 15 weeks, concluding with final examinations. Suitable for general practitioners and International Medical Graduates. No prior knowledge is assumed for the Professional Certificate. The three online certificate courses must be completed in sequential order to qualify for the Professional Diploma. Prior studies and qualifications may be recognised for entry.

Presented by noted dermatologists, the Professional Diploma of General Dermatology program will teach you how to manage all major dermatological conditions of the skin, hair and nails, as well as general disease states manifesting through the skin. You will learn how to make differential diagnoses, choose appropriate treatment options, and minimise unnecessary referrals to specialists.

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Clinical attachments in dermatology are available at the Medical University of Vienna under the supervision of Professor Harald Kittler, or with Dr Vincenzo Piccolo from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in Italy. Graduates are also eligible to apply for Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) for module 3 of the Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology studied through the online Rila Institute of Health Sciences and awarded by the University of Plymouth (UK). Overall there will be a time saving of 40 per cent. Supervised examinations are completed in Perth, Australia. Medical professionals can then apply for credit from the Postgraduate Diploma to the Master of Science in the specialism awarded by the University of Plymouth.
