NEW POINTS SYSTEM – At the start of the 2015 season, the PBR’s world point system changed to provide improved

performance-based scoring in rounds, events and over each season, placing an emphasis on the most important

achievement in sports – winning. The scoring system will be applied consistently throughout the world with all points

earned by PBR bull riders counting toward the PBR world standings. The event winner is determined by the total number

of points accumulated by the rider via his finish in each round and in the event average. Total ride scores for the event will

no longer determine the event winner. Also, ride scores will no longer count toward the PBR world standings.

Here is a breakdown of the new points system:

THE BULLS

PBR MOURNS THE LOSS OF MICK E MOUSE - PBR stock contractor Marlene Henry informed the PBR on Aug.

13, 2015, that Mick E Mouse was put down because of unforeseen medical complications. According to renowned

veterinarian Dr. Gary Warner, the athlete developed a lymphoma lesion within his lumbar spine that caused an inability to

properly be able to use his rear limbs. Doctors tried treating him, but he wasn’t responding so Henry made the difficult

decision to ensure her prized bovine athlete would not be suffering any longer.
