Professional art, design and creative consultancy in the Kingdom of Swaziland

Yebo is passionate about promoting the fine arts and enabling the growth of Swaziland’s creative economy

Contact Yebo for:

Creative Consultancy • Corporate Art • Design WorkSkills Training • Social Responsibility Projects

Yebo was established in 2010 by local artists Pete, Aleta & Dane Armstrong. The goal was to set up a contemporary art gallery that showcased the best of Swazi art and design, while breaking away from old-fashioned stereotypes of African art.

Yebo works with the most talented professional and emerging artists in Swaziland, giving them the opportunity to gain wider domestic and international recognition.

The vision for the next five years is to focus on environmental and social challenges, using art as a tool to tackle issues including climate change, women’s rights and youth unemployment.

CONTEMPORARY FINE ART

Yebo has curated dozens of exhibitions, both locally and internationally, exploring themes including creative freedom of expression, spirituality, nature

and wildlife, and the African state of mind.

Artists also welcome individual commissions.

“The Yebo team are extremely professional, honest and transparent, and the quality of the art always comes first regardless of local trends. The gallery is never satisfied with

less than exceptional work and their artists are encouraged to go beyond their comfort zone, trying new techniques, and formats. The results are fresh, contemporary and full of energy. My experience dealing with Yebo Art Gallery has been inspiring and I cannot

wait to see what’s in store for the future!”

Anna Ruth, Director of ÄkkiGalleria, Finland

We supply corporate clients with professional art consultancy and bespoke artwork, including paintings, sculptures, installations and creative furniture. Our directors will work closely with you to hand-pick an exciting range of work that suits your space, taste and budget.

By investing in local talent and showcasing the best contemporary art in Swaziland, businesses can create a pleasant working environment that is attractive to both visitors and employees.

CORPORATEART

"It was very gratifying working with Yebo for the artwork in our new head office. We were happy to work with local artists to produce such amazing artwork for us!"

Mpumelelo Makhubu - Corporate Affairs Manager - MTN Swaziland

Yebo has already partnered with both local and international

organisations to help promote the Kingdom’s contemporary

art scene, including COSPE & Benetton, SEDCO, US Embassy

and MTN Bushfire.

Peter Armstrong, a professional sculptor with decades of experience, is available to work on commissioned sculptures, busts and permanent installations.

Working with various material and in different mediums, Peter has been completed works for UNISWA, MTN, Big Game Parks and the US Embassy, among other organisations. These sculptures are perfect for display both indoors and outdoors, and are well suited for public entrances, offices and receptions.

Smaller sculptures such as figures, portraits, animals, or abstract figures are available to order as unique gifts, awards and interior decor or decoration. We also renovate or repair existing artwork.

Other artists also design and create sculptures and installation pieces.

Professional, fast and above all: beautiful work. We wanted a unique design for our first game, and Yebo was our first choice. Working with Yebo Designs on the artwork for our game has been a great experience and we highly recommend them.
