Seminar on "Career Opportunities in Space Science and Technology” held
on 11th Jan 2017, Wednesday.
A seminar on the subject "Career opportunities in space science and
technology" was held on 11th Jan 2017, Wednesday from 3:30 pm to 6.00
p.m. in the seminar hall (008) by the IETE Student forum for TE (E&TC)
students. The speaker of seminar was Mrs. Leena Bokil. The seminar was
conducted successfully in the valuable presence of H.O.D Dr. S. R. Patil, IETE
student Forum Coordinator Prof. Sharada Kore and co-ordinator Mr. S. M.
Bhilegaonkar. Program started with the welcoming of the guest and the
audience. The introduction of the chief guest was given by Miss Prerna
Singh. Then HOD addressed audience on this occasion. A short presentation
about IETE was delivered by Miss Swaranjali Tripathi. Space technology is
really an interesting subject .The seminar was a journey to space world and
role of E&TC in the space missions. Space science is a universal field which
includes all the subjects of science. Mrs. Leena Bokil shared her journey of
study in space technology about her experience of travelling in various
countries. She also told about various successful space people including the
brave Indian space girl Kalpana Chawla and their space operations.
Astronomy, Astrophysics and the Space were the principle subjects of the
seminar. At the end, an short film was played which showed the glimpses of
brave space girl Kalpna Chawla's Life. The video filled the hall with the
vibes of inspiration. Lastly, Miss Sushmita Gupta proposed the vote of
thanks. The conduction of this event of IETE was a grand success.

on “robotic vehicles” On 13th January 2017

Brief Summary about Activity:-
The Industrial Visit that was organized by IETE STUDENTS CHAPTER
at I-Medita Institute on 17th January,2017. It was conducted by department
of E & TC Faculty in-charges Prof.Dipali Shende and co-ordinated with their
IETE Student Chapter team.
This activity is proposed to make the students aware about the
various opportunities that we have in the field of Engineering. The main
objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how various
activities related to automation , networking and activities that are carried
out in company and give them practical experience of the work as soon as
they are going to start their career.

We are thankful to Prof.Dipali Shende mam , Faculty co-ordinator of
IETE Student Chapter , SIT . This industrial visit have added a valuable to
students .Many students of E&TC , Computer and IT Dept actively
participated in the IV.
The Event was a great success.
d. RMD School of Engineering:
On the 20th Jan, 2017, the department of E&TC started a professional
society for students. The chief guests who came for the inauguration of
IETE students chapter were Mr. G.K.Dawara (Chairman- IETE, Pune),
Mr.Kishor Shende (Hon. SecretaryIETE, Pune), Principal Prof. Dr. C. B.
Bangal and E&TC HOD Prof. Mrs. Snehal Bhosale. All staff members’ and
students of SE and TE were present for the event.
The program started with the felicitation of the guests. The ROBOCLUB
students had then presented their progress in preparation for the
ROBOCON competition. The guests had shared their insight and ideas on
how to involve in the activities under IETE membership.
The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
is India's leading recognized professional society devoted to the
advancement of science, technology, electronics, telecommunication
and information technology. The objectives of IETE focus on advancing
electro-technology. The IETE conducts and sponsors technical meetings,
conferences, symposia, and exhibitions all over India, publishes technical
journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement
opportunities to its members.
At the end IETE membership cards for the SE students were
distributed by chief guests and our HOD Prof. Mrs. Snehal Bhosale madam.

A seminar on the topic "Baby steps to master your carrier success" by the
speaker Mr. Amit Agarwal, Vice president, Axiom, Singapore was held by
the IETE Student forum of E&TC dept. BVCOEW,Pune for TE (E&TC)
students on 3rd Feb 2017, Friday from 10:30 am to 1.00 p.m. in the
seminar hall (008). The seminar was conducted successfully in the valuable
presence of H.O.D Prof. Dr. S. R. Patil, ISF coordinator Sharada Kore and co-
coordinator Mr. S. M. Bhilegaonkar. Program started with the welcome
speech and introduction of speaker by Student Miss Prerna Singh. HOD
felicitated speaker and addressed the audience. Mr.Amit Agarwal started
his speech by explaining many helpful ways to express you in public. To
inspire the students history of Kentuky Fried Chicken (KFC),and the
journey of success of its owner Colonel Harland Sanders. He explained
Why, Who, How, What and When to achieve success in life. Mr Amit also
said that, "No matter where you are in your career, chances are you're in
need of a little motivation to get to the next step—to go for the job you'll
actually love waking up for, to ask for that promotion, or to just push
through a rough day." In short it can be concluded that we need to
understand our passion like why are we doing this? It is the key to have
success. Also Mr. Amit threw light on this famous saying which goes like
this, "Repair the roof of your house till it is sunshine". A short inspirational
video was also played which showed that why we need to be unique in our
field. He took the example of Apple. Since everyone out there is having the
same qualification yet it is making its unique products maintaining its class
and is a world class company since a long period of time. The video filled
the hall with the vibes of inspiration. The question answer session was held
at the end of talk. Miss. Sushmita Gupta concluded the program by
proposing the vote of thanks. The conduction of this event of IETE was a
grand success.

IETE Student Forum organized a expert session on “Research Grants
& Funding” on 15th Feb 2017.The guest for the session was Mr.
Pradeepkumar Dhage from MIT Technology Business Incubators Pune.

The session was organized in order to increase knowledge of grants &
funding in the field of research among the faculty members.
The key points of session were- What is TBI (Technology Business Incubators) and what does it do? Different national funding agencies. Different international funding agencies. Detail about DST and its operations Project sponsorship Operations of NIDHI(National Institute of Development & Harnessing
Innovation) Parameters required to setup a TBI Case study on How to write a proposal?
The session was delivered in an excellent manner and more than 60
faculties participated in the event. A perfect logistics support was given by
mechanical department.
The event was a grand success.

e) KJ’s Educational Institute’s, K J College of Engineering & Management
Research, Pune
3rd National Level Project and Poster Expo for Engineering and Diploma Students on Gravity 2k17 (17th -18th February, 2017) In association with IETE Venue- KJCOEMR “3rd National Level Project and Poster Expo for Engineering and Diploma Students, Gravity 2k17” conducted on 17th and 18th Feb 2017, Organized by KJCOEMR, Pune. The objective of the National Project competition is to provide a common platform to students to exchange innovative ideas in the field of Engineering and Polytechnic. The Project expo organizes under the following broad themes, but not limited to: E&TC, IE, Instrumentation, Electrical, Computer, IT, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil Engineering. For this Project competition Chief Guest was Hon. Shri. Bhai Vaidya. He has a Head of Sane Guruji Pratishthan Pune. Guest of Honor was Mr. Dawara G K, Chairman IETE, Pune and Dr. Girish Mundada, TPO, PICT, Pune. Hon. Shri Kalyan Jadhav, President KJEI, Mr.Vinod Jadhav, Treasurer, KJEI, Mrs. Harshada Jadhav, Managing director, KJEI, Dr. Hemant Abhyankar, Ex. Director, KJEI, Dr. Suhas Khot, Principal, KJCOEMR and Mrs. Pratibha Chavan, Organizing Chair, Gravity 2k17 were present for Inaugural function. Project and Poster competition were attended by 1000 students from all over the India. All participants are benefited by certificates and Prizes. Winner and runner up team per department were awarded by cash prizes and Trophy. All Project winner teams participated in final round which was conducted on 15th March 2017. Judges for Gravity 2k17 are experts from Industries, Mr. Sandip Waghole, Mr. Swapnil Naik, Mr. Sachin Palve, and Mr. Rahul Patil. Academicians for final round were Dr. K D Sapate (Mech), Prof. V S Shingade (Civil), Prof. V S Hendre (E&TC) and Prof. Mrs. J V Satre (Electrical).
Best project award with a cash amount of Rs 10,000 and a Trophy for degree was awarded to Electrical department, BSCOER, Pune and for Diploma Best project award with a cash amount of Rs 10,000 and a Trophy was awarded to IT department, SVC Polytechnic, Pune.

f. International Women’s Day was celebrated on11th March 2017, at
IETE Pune Centre’s Global Hall at 06.00 P.M
Prof. Sharada Kore requested Chairman Shri G K Dawara sir to give
introductory speech. Shri G K Dawara Chairman IETE Pune Centre gave an
introductory speech. He gave examples of leading women’s in Industry and
other fields. Prof. Suvarna Kulkarni then introduced the Chief Guest, of
program Dr. Mrs. M. A. Joshi to the audience. Chief Guest Dr. Mrs. M. A. Joshi
Prof. (Electronics), FIET (U.K.), FIE(I),FIETE(I),Sr. member IEEE was
felicitated by Shri G K Dawara, Chairman IETE Pune Centre.

founder student members on 20th March. 2017 at 10.00 am in Seminar
Hall. The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers
(IETE) is India's leading recognized professional society devoted to the
advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication
& IT. Founded in 1953. The IETE is the National Apex Professional body of
Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and IT
Professionals. It serves more than 1, 25,000 members (including Corporate,
Student and ISF members) through various 64 Centers, spread all over
India and abroad. The Institution provides leadership in Scientific and
Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and
economy. Government of India has recognized IETE as a Scientific and
Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational
Institution of national eminence. The objectives of IETE focus on advancing
electro-technology. The IETE conducts and sponsors technical meetings,
conferences, symposia, and exhibitions all over India, publishes technical
journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement
opportunities to its members. The inaugural function started in a
traditional way with lamp lighting and Saraswati Poojan. The Chief Guest of
the function was Mr. G. K. Dawara, Chairman, IETE-Pune Centre and Guest
of Honor was Mr. Kishor Shende, Hon. Secretary, IETE-Pune Centre, and Mr.
Atul Joshi, member of IETE-Pune Centre and also owner of Indus aviation
system. Prof. A. A. Ranaware, HOD of Electronics & Telecommunication has

delivered the welcome address and also delivered speech on the
importance of IETE Student Forum. Prof. S. R. Badiger, convener of IETE
introduces the chief guest. Mr. G. K. Dawara appreciated the efforts of the
E&TC Department in starting this forum and emphasized on benefits of
students participation in such events to develop their technical knowledge.
He informed the students about the various upcoming events of the IETE.
After the inauguration, keynote presentation on ‘Social media use in
Employability’ was delivered by the Chief guest Mr. Atul Joshi. It was great
presentation for students to make employable and also Mr. Atul Joshi has
discussed the importance of social media and also he discussed how we
have to make ourselves a good employ using social media. Another keynote
presentation on ‘Use of solar Energy in Domestic purpose’ was delivered by
the chief guest Mr. Kishor Shende. He explained the importance of solar
energy system and also he explained how to make zero billing using solar
energy system. The inaugural function was winded up with vote of thanks
by Prof. Ms. S. S. Kuchekar, Asst. Professor of E&TC department. Photo
