* Foundation Day Celebration The foundation day of IETE was celebrated by Rajkot centre on 4th Nov. 2020 at 3:00 p.m. through GOOGLE MEET . Necessary publicity was made at centre and communicated the celebration program to the members, students members , local Engg. / Technical institutions & interested technical persons of industries . It was celebrated by arranging technical symposium on “Emerging Technologies for Effective Management of the Pandemic” the theme provided by IETE H/Q. The Expert talks about the theme were delivered by Mr. Maulik Dhamecha, Asstt. Prof. CE Department, V V P Engineering College Rajkot & Dr. Ashvini D. Joshi , Asstt. Prof. Department of Nano Science Advance Materials, Saurashtra University , Rajkot . The audience had an informative technical discussion on this theme of present era and had number of queries which made the function live and full of momentum . The programme was started at 3:00 p.m. with the welcome address & history of IETE with the development as on today by Prof. (Dr.) Atul M. Gonsai , Chairman IETE Rajkot . Er. S. M. Suchday, EC Member IETE readout the president message. Vote of thanks by Dr. Divyesh Keraliya , Hon. Treasurer IETE Rajkot Centre. He specially thanked both the speakers & appreciated their efforts . Er. Mohit Parbat , EC Member IETE Rajkot handled the entire programme with his skill and communication . Present IETE Members & student members expressed their views on the theme during group discussion .

* IETE Student’s Day Celebration : The Student’s Day of IETE was celebrated by Rajkot Centre on 2nd Feb. 2021 at 3:00 p.m. through GOOGLE MEET . Necessary publicity was made at centre and communicated the celebration program to the members, students members , local Engg. / Technical institutions & interested technical persons of industries . It was celebrated by arranging technical symposium on “Introduction and sensitization session on Climate change and briefing of renewable energy technologies” The Key note speech was delivered by Dr. Siddharth Joshi , Assistant Professor , Department of Electrical Engineering , School of Technology , Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University , Gandhinagar. The audience had an informative discussion on this theme of present era and had number of queries which made the function live and full of momentum . The programme was started at 3:00 p.m. with the welcome address & history of IETE with the development as on today by Prof. (Dr.) Atul M. Gonsai , Chairman IETE Rajkot . Er. Mohit Parbat , EC Member IETE readout the president message and handled the entire programme with his skill and communication . Vote of thanks by Dr. Divyesh Keraliya , Hon. * International Woman’s Day Celebration :

Medicine useful for current pandemic (COVID-19)” & “Choose to challenge” IETE Rajkot Centre on 8th March 2021 .

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The IETE Rajkot centre organized workshop cum expert talks on “on “How to Make Healthy your life period , Naturopathy , Advantages of Panchkarma , How to make different Ayurvedic homemade Medicine useful for current pandemic (COVID-19) also talk on Women’s Day theme “Choose to challenge”. The event was arranged on 8th March (International Women’s Day) at IETE Rajkot Centre . Necessary publicity was made by centre and communicated to the members & women nearby this centre . The programme started on 8th March 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Dignitaries were honored by the Bouquet . Welcome address was deliverd by Prof. (Dr.) Atul M. Gonsai , Chairman IETE Rajkot and informed about IETE with development as on today . Dr. Ashwini Joshi , EC Member IETE Rajkot deliverd talk on women’s day theme “Choose to challenge” and she presented her own poem on women’s Day theme. Dr. Manishben Pandya , MD Naturopathy Suzok and Yoga Teacher was the chief guest of this function and she talked about Naturopathy useful for women in day to day life . An expert Prof. Dr. Umesh Pandya , MD Rasshastra , Head of Rasashastra Dept. R. K. University Rajkot , delivered expert talk on “How to Make Healthy your life period” . Dr. Shivkumar Pandya (BHMS) delivered expert talk on “Advantages of Panchkarma” . Ms. Urmi Pandya , ND make live demonstration of some ayurvedic medicine (Trifala , Ayurvedic Seasonal Chyanprash etc.) useful for current pandemic (COVID-19) & day to day life also. Experts explained their topics practically in details . Natural Ayurvedik healthy tonic / drink was served to participants and Members . The audience had informative discussion on these topics and had number of queries which made the function live and full of momentum . All participants apprecitated IETE Rajkot centre’s authorities for very good activities run by the institution useful for women & thanked all IETE Authorities , Expert faculties , Staff members etc. 32 women participted in this workshop . All the participants were presented a gift by IETE Rajkot . Hi - tea was served to participants , dignitaries & members . Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Divyesh Keraliya , Hon. Treasurer IETE Rajkot. Ms. Amee Daiya , Member IETE Rajkot and Mr. Brijesh IETE Rajkot handled overall function very efficiency .

It was celebrated by arranging webinar on “Accelerating Digital Transformation in Challenging Times” the theme provided by IETE H/Q. The programme was started at 3:00 p.m. with the welcome address & history of IETE with the development as on today by Prof. (Dr.) Atul M. Gonsai , Chairman IETE Rajkot . Dr. Divyesh R. Keraliya, Hon. * Short Term Training Programme : The online (STTP) Short term training programme on “Modern Trends in Image Processing In Medical Application” on 21-25 September 2020 organized by Department of Electronics & Communication VVP Engineering College (Organizational Member IETE Rajkot) in association with IETE RAJKOT CENTRE , Department of Science and Technology Government of Gujarat (DSI) , Gujarat council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) . The event sponsored by GUJCOST (Gujarat council on Science and Technology) Government of Gujarat .

Due to current COVID-19 pandemic situation in the world, a huge need has raised in the field of medical imaging and thereby its detection & diagnosis and thereafter treatment. Therefore, this programme had been organized to enhance the ability of participants in the area of medical imaging. The main objective of this programme was to provide a platform to exchange views, ideas & the latest innovations an also highlighting learning on basics, modern trends & challenges in the field of Image Processing in medical applications. It has additionally refined every participant’s proficiency to carry out consultancy, testing & research in the area of medical imaging. It was a FREE of COST STTP and sponsored by GUJCOST.

13 eminent experts from IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhi agar, IIIT Vadodara, SVNIT Surat, Saudi Arabia & Experienced Doctors from Renown medical college were invited to deliver expert talk in this STTP .

Around 146 participants including 102 Faculties and 44 students all over Gujarat and outside Gujarat had registered for this STTP .

The participants belonged to various Departments like EC, CE IC, Applied mechanics, Biomedical Department, Department of Radio Diagnosis & Imaging, Department of Medical Imaging, Nanoscience, Petrochemical, Physiotherapy, Science of Humanities, etc.

This online STTP was Organized & handled by Dr. Vishal D. Nimavat, EC Member IETE Rajkot Centre , Prof. Sheron H. Christy and Prof. Jignesh P. Ajmera of Department of Electronics & Communication, V.V.P. Engineering College, Rajkot from 21-9-2020 to 25-9-2020.

* WEBINAR ON "JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN AI, ML & IOT WORLD : The IETE Rajkot Centre had organized an Expert Talk under Quality Improvement Programme for IETE Members, Industrialists & students. The Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Rajkot Centre & Alumni Association of Government Engineering College, Rajkot (AAG) jointly organized webinar on "Job Opportunities in AI, ML & IOT World" on 18th July 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Key note speaker Mr. Madhukant Patel, Former Scientist / Engineer ISRO, CTO Teksum Inc., MD Rave Automation LLP, delivered the expert talk above mentioned topic using interactive presentation and fluent skills. The speech was interesting and informative with real world examples. The questions raised by the members / participants were satisfactorily explained by the expert. Dr. Rahul D. Mehta, Hon. Secretary IETE Rajkot delivered welcome speech and vote of thanks. Total 164 participants joined and enjoyed the expert talk.

*Achievement (First IETE Student’s Forum) We are happy to inform you that, V. V. P. Engineering College, one of the leading engineering colleges in Rajkot- Gujarat opened IETE student’s forum in the college in the month of march. Necessary fees have been transferred through online by the college . Total 43 nos. of ISF Students Enrolled . * AICTE Recognition to IETE ALCCS/AMIETE/DIPIETE Courses:-

Present Status As per public Notice from AICTE for professional Bodies/Institutions. Accordingly, the council in its 52nd Emergent Meeting held on August 03 , 2017 decided to recognize equivalence for all purposes including higher education & employment to technical courses conducted by various professional bodies/institutions which were duly recognized by MHRD with permanent recognition up to 31st May 2013 . Thus all those students who were enrolled with these institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013, stand recognized. Advt. no. P&AP/10(04) 2017.

Status of Recognition of IETE Courses by MHRD

Present Status

The case of writ petition filed by IETE against MHRD for recognition of our courses came up before Judge in Hon'ble High Court of Delhi for completion of proceedings on 15 November 2018. The next date of hearing of MHRD case at Delhi High Court on 28 May 2021. * International Workshop on “CYBER SAFETY” IETE Rajkot Centre and Department of Computer Science , Saurashtra University Rajkot jointly organized International Online Workshop through GOOGLE MEET on “Cyber Safety” on 18th June 2021 (Time: 15:00 hts.-17:00 hrs.) .
