Innovations in teaching (formal approach)
New topics involved in more than 20 different coursesFive completely new courses (first delivered for the first time in winter semester 2003/04, others in winter semester 2004/05) are involved in current curricula at Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis:
Software Engineering Embedded systems Mobile and wireless services Software design using design patterns Databases – advanced techniques
Work on reconstructing CS courses and involving new courses in existing CS curriculum initiated the work on draft version of new CS curriculum and ECTS implementation. First proposals have already been discussed.

Key successes - New teaching environment
What does it mean?a) New labs with new equipmentb) Using modern multimedia teaching
toolsc) Web support to teaching
Skopje, 16. February 2005
a) New labs with new equipmentWhat did we do?
Two new teaching labs were established with one server and 16 PC workstations each.
New digital projectors are at Computer Science Department teaching staff disposal.
Lab practical classes from more than twenty different courses are delivered in these Labs.
Skopje, 16. February 2005
b, c) MTT + Web support Modern teaching tools are applied at teaching Important innovations relate to using and
developing original multimedia teaching tools (SimArch for Computer Architectures, Intelligent Tutoring System for Databases, Simulators for Computer Networks).
A lot of teaching material has been prepared for Web publication
E-Forum for discussion about proposals for new CS curriculum has been initiated (http://cs.elfak.ni.ac.yu/forum/).
