According to "Enterprising and Innovative University Index" data which is formed by the evaluationof TUBITAK's 23 different indicators under the dimensions such as intellectual property pool, collaborationand interaction, enterprising and innovation culture, Selcuk University which was in the 16th rankincreased to "11th Most Enterprising and Innovative University of Turkey" in 2013. When stateuniversities are taken into consideration in the rank, Selcuk University in the 6th rank can be seenthat our university is the most enterprising and innovative university of Anatolia except three bigcities. Moreover, Selcuk University is the most successful 5th university in the ranking related withintellectual and industrial property rights.

Konya Teknokent, as the executive company of Selcuk University Technology Development Region,was founded in 2004 according to 4691 numbered law of technology development regions and hasstrengthened its position as being in the 7th rank among Technoparks in Turkey. Selcuk UniversityTechnology Transfer Office (Selcuk TTO), on the other hand, was founded within Konya Teknokentin 2006 and has achieved one of the most successful TTOs in our country with its activities up to now.In 2013, Selcuk TTO has showed the success of being one of the first 10 technology transfer officessupported within the framework of 1513-TTO Support Program. Within this framewrok, Selcuk TTOprovides awareness, promotion, informing and training, benefiting from support programs, projectdevelopment and management, Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights management as well aslicensing, incorporation and enterprising services not only to our university but also all universitiesin KOP Region. This portfolio will provide Selcuk University Technology Transfer Office to reach theprivileged position by increasing the number of patents via its patent support program and to pavethe way for the commercialization of inventions in national and international fields.

In the belief that prepared Patent portfolio will make significant contributions in the transformationof information into economic benefit for our country especially in KOP region, I hope best luck forinventors, businessmen and all sectors.

Nowadays, the importance of technology transfer phenomenon increases day by day both in our countryand all over the world. Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights, on the other hand, are fairly the buildingblocks for technology transfer all over the world within the scope of protection of innovative ideas. SelcukUniversity Technology Transfer Office (SELCUK TTO) established in Executive Company Konya Teknokent Inc.of Selcuk University Technology Development Region conducts determination of studies that can be evaluatedwithin the scope of intellectual property, carrying out the patent processes and activities related withcommercialization of patents in the universities of KOP Region via Intellectual Property Rights Unit as well asits other missions. Directed towards this main target; the instructors, students and Teknokent companies areinformed and promoted about intellectual property rights.

PADES (Patent Support Program) plays a significant role as the principal factor of these promotions. PADESis the patent support program which was founded by Konya Teknokent Inc./SELCUK TTO in 2009 and still beingapplied with its extended scope by removing the application restriction for instructors and students completelyin 2013. Within the scope of PADES, the national and international patent attorney cost of applicants who haveapplied and succeeded procedural review is funded and thus an opportunity is provided for inventors to protecttheir ideas through legal means without paying any cost. The number of national and international patentapplications in the region is increased within this program and a contribution is made for the protection ofintellectual property rights in our country. While there were totally 52 patent applications (in the 5-year span)before 2013 within PADES, there are 60 patent applications supported by this program (12 of which areinternational and 48 of them are at the national stage) just in 2013. SELCUK TTO guides applicants not onlyduring application period but also during the management of proceedings in commercialization activities,technical, legal counselling and licensing period in the eye of institute after application, more conservation isprovided for inventors under the roof of institutional structure and loss of a right is prevented. SELCUK TTOnegotiates proceedings related with commercialization activities.

CALCIUM SOURCE OBTAINED FROM EGG SHELL POWDER

The invention is related with the product in powder form preparedfrom egg shell which increases the mineral bone density withoutincreasing blood calcium level and provided mainly calcium and othertrace elements to the body naturally in order to compensate calciumloss in bone diseases depending on the lack of calcium. The egg shellincluding elemental calcium at a level of 39% and relatively high amountsof strontium might be used as a source of calcium for human beings.When rich calcium, strontium, other element salts as well as activeingredients in organic matrix of egg shell which is powdered by meansof the used technique are taken orally, they are dissolved in the stomach;released calcium, strontium, other ions and active ingredients in organicmatrix are absorbed by intestines. With the increasing effect of absorbedcalcium and strontium on bone mineral material, the calcium level ofblood is kept in bone without increasing and mineral material of boneis strengthened. Since the powder obtained from egg shell is definitelynatural, it does not include toxic materials and does not have any sideeffects. Moreover, due to its rich calcium carbonate content, it playsa crucial role in compensating the calcium need of the body.

WOUND COVERING MATERIAL PREPAREDFROM EGG SHELL MEMBRANE

This invention is related with producing a wound covering material from porousegg shell membrane with its high content of Type-I collagen, glycosaminoglycan,chondrotin, sulphate hyaluronic acid which will be used for covering the woundzone occurred depending on losses due to various reasons on surfaces open toexternal environment such as mucosa and skin of the body. Wound healing is anatural response for tissue therapy after wounding. There are many factors negativelyaffecting systemic, local and microbial normal wound healing. Covering open woundwith appropriate material has positive effects in wound healing. Since odour formationis not prevented in some cases, the absorbity of wound healing material is quiteimportant. Since selection of a wrong material harms the wounded, selection ofappropriate material for the type of wound is also very important.

When it is considered in terms of biological material, membrane is a sole biologicalmaterial which provides reasonable adsorption, allows gas transition and does notinclude DNA. Some amino acids present in shell membrane have effects thataccelerate healing of burn and other wound types and increase elasticity of articularsin arthritis.

A GEL INCLUDING POWDER OF EGG SHELL AND EGG SHELLMEMBRANE PARTICLES THAT WILL BE USED FOR ORAL HEALTH

The invention is related with preparate which will be used for solvingproblems encountered in oral health in previous techniques andapplications which includes materials starting calcium mineralization inorganic matrix. It controls the shape and growth of formed crystals aswell as preventing bacterial growth; having calcium as a high rate ofcalcium carbonate (CaCO3) and significant amounts of strontium (Sr)and magnesium (Mg) in its inorganic matrix.

The shell membrane consists of arginine, glutamic acid, methionine,hystidine, cysteine and proline amino acids at high rates. Especiallycysteine is a sulphur containing material it’s very necessary for healthyskin, hair, bone and connective tissues. Since cysteine takes a part inthe formation of tissues including collagen, it improves elasticity of theskin. Cysteine fortification accelerates healing of ambustion and otherwound types, improves the elasticity of articulars in arthritis. For thisreason, the presence of egg shell membrane in oral health care productswill contribute to the protection of gingiva connective tissue andepithelium health.

Although collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate and hyaluronicacid which are present in egg shell can also be obtained from othersources, the rates of these substances in those sources are both low,since egg shell membranes (and their products) do not include anyanimal tissues, the risk of transmission of zoological diseases, priondiseases and HIV reduces to zero. Egg shell membrane which is alsoknown with its antibacterial properties is an easy-supply proteinasesmaterial and has a strong usage potential in dental care products. Shellmembrane is sole biological material which does not include DNA andhas low antigenity. For this reason, possibility of occurrence for allergicreactions caused by it is very low.

BIOADSORBENT OBTAINED FROM EGG SHELL MEMBRANE

The invention is related with obtaining adsorbent (bioadsorbent) inpowder form from egg shell membrane for decolorization of wastewaterfrom dyestuff in printing, dye and textile industries; recovery of heavymetal ions in wastewater; recovery of gold in wastewater after processingprinted circuit plaques in electronic industry; recovery of silver passedthrough processing solutions in photography. Recently, the importanceof providing the recovery of biological sources is understood and costis a very important parameter, using biodegradable materials obtainedfrom plant or animal wastes or industrial by-products as low-costadsorbents especially in developing countries is expended in hard effort.

The results of experiments performed on the recovery of gold fromwastewater of electrolysis bath using the biosorbent obtained fromegg shell membrane in powder form revealed that the egg shell is anexcellent material to be used for this aim. This metal bioadsorbent canselectively bind to many metal ions and actinides such as iron (Fe+3),copper (Cu+2), zinc (Zn+2), cadmium (Cd+2), cobalt (Co+2), silver (Ag+),platinium (Pt+2), gold (Au+3), nickel (Ni+2), chromium (Cr+3) in wastewaterand precipitate together. At the same time, since the egg shell iscomposed of insoluble strands and has smooth and wide surface area,the capacity of the product to remove metal ions and dyes are high.

PHOTOCATALYST COMPOSITE MATERIALFOR THE REMOVAL OF VARIOUS ORGANIC WASTES

The invention is related with the composite material that will be usedas a photocatalyst for the removal of toxic dyes and various organicpollutants caused by various industrial organizations (paper, dye,cosmetics, textile, etc.) and other pollutants. For the removal of organicpollutants and microorganisms from wastewater, a photocatalyst basedon polyaniline-transition metal is invented by the inventor and this metalis coated on materials such as conductive or non-conductive plate,perforated plate, screen mesh, fiber, etc. produced by electrochemical(potentiostatic or potentiodynamic) or chemical method brings morerapid results than photocatalysts which are produced and still used forthese processes. Photocatalyst based on polyaniline-transition metalcoated on conductive or non-conductive sub-layer is contacted in poolsdesigned for taking the light at maximum rate with wastewater inwhich microorganisms such as organic pollutant and/or bacteria, fungi,viruses are present. Lamps emitting ultra-violet (UV) light are used aslight-source. The photocatalyst becomes active after stimulated withlight and reacts with water and oxygen adsorbed on the surface,resulting in oxidizing species such as hydroxide radical, superoxideradical and hydrogen peroxide. These oxidizing species react withorganic pollutants that might be present in wastewater and convertthem into harmless ones.

ANTIBACTERIAL MOUTHWASH WHICH ISNONTOXIC IN CELLULAR LEVEL

Periodontal diseases are the group of inflammatory diseases thataffect and destruct the supporting tissues of teeth (ie. gingiva, alveolarbone, periodontal ligament, cementum). One or more teeth may beinvolved in periodontal diseases and when left untreated, they maycause to tooth loss. For preventing this to happen the invention is anantibacterial mouthwash which is used for eliminating microbial dentalplaques in the treatment of periodontal diseases and which comprisesan amount of boric acid solution.

Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of boric acid are wellknown. Owing to these properties, the solution obtained from boricacid may be used in periodontal therapy as an adjuvant to the mechanicalperiodontal therapy. Additionally, as a result of using our inventedmouthwash, problems such as dyeing of oral surfaces, defect in tasting,desquamation and allergic reactions experienced with the mouthwashescontaining chlorhexidine has been eliminated.

On the other hand it has been found out that boric acid is better inclinical periodontal parameters compared to normal saline (control) andchlorhexidine groups when it is used as an adjuvant therapy in chronicperiodontitis patients in addition to mechanical periodontal therapy.According to the obtained results, it is thought that the usage of boricacid solution as an adjuvant to the mechanical periodontal therapy andas an antibacterial mouthwash may be more effective and moreadvantageous. It is also thought that this solution may be much saferin terms of protecting the oral health in individuals who cannot carryout their own mechanical oral care (the disabled) and who have mouthsores (aphthous lesions,, dermatosis).

CONCERNS ELIMINATES THE EFFECT OF THE LOCALANESTHESIA TO SOFT TISSUE WITH ONDANSETRONE

Local anesthetic solutions with or without vasoconstrictors that areavailable for use in clinical dentistry produce local anesthesia of teethand surrounding soft tissues of varying duration. Local anesthesia allowspatients to undergo surgical and dental procedures with reduced painand distress. Local anesthetic effect can last from a few hours to fivehours. During this time, various problems caused by the patient toremain under the influence of local anesthesia occurs.

The invention concerns the reverse effect of local anesthesiain both soft tissue perineural tissues by ondansetrone that applied inthe same area with local anesthetic.The solution of these problems isthe reversal of the effect of local anesthesia as soon as possible aftercompleting the operation by the physician. Under the result of theinventors studies about ondansetrone that applied to same area withlocal anesthetic has been shown to accelerate the reversal of the soft-tissue anesthesia associated with the widely used local anesthetic. Thisis an effect that affected by patient age, weight, sensitivity and differentdoses of ondansetrone. This effect provides a high patient and clinicianssatisfactory and decreases the hospital stay and prolonged soft tissuerelated complication particularly in special care patient and children.Ondansetrone would be beneficial for patients who would like toexperience a faster return to normal soft tissue function and sensationafter the administration of local anesthesia.

SPACE MAINTAINER PREVENTING PLACELOSSES AFTER LOSS OF TEETH

The Invention is related with space maintainer used to preventabnormalities emerging when pulled tooth cavity is closed with adjacentteeth if pulling of one or two adjacent milk teeth is required for anyreason before normal time of falling. Invention has a qualification ofapplying on tooth surface by single-stage, does not requires measuring,technician and laboratory also doesn’t have necessaries patientcooperation.

This designed space maintainer ise free of motion in parallel withgrowth and development is another prominent property. Moreover,this application can be used in the same session after pulling followingbleeding control until placing space maintainer instead of coming toclinic at least twice and thus time and comfort are provided for thepatient.

TRANSARTERIAL HEART ASSIST DEVICE

Heart assist devices are vital instruments for patients who havecontracting hearth muscle problems and who have not respondedpositively for drug treatments. The invention is a “transarterial assistdevice” and its peripheral components that can be installed in aortaand/or pulmonary artery in order to facilitate blood circulation forpatients with heart failure. Our invention “a new generation HeartAssist Device” would assist blood circulation through an electrical enginewithout a pin which runs on a magnetic field with helicoidal airfoils.

When compared to other similar devices this electrical heart supportdevice has many outstanding features. First of all “The Heart SupportDevice” runs on a magnetic field without a pin, it has a low volumeand consequently consumes low energy and results in a longer batterylife. Second, because of its highly efficient operation and the power itgenerates, it produces high blood flow. Furthermore, the heart supportdevice has smaller contact surface. Therefore problems such as destructionof blood elements due to interaction with machine and blood coagulationare eliminated by this device. The device is small enough that can beplaced in large arteries. Since installation of this assist device is quitepractical and reliable, its easy to predict it's success rate will be quitehigh too.

TRANSARTERIAL PERMANENT HEART ASSIST DEVICEWITH DOUBLE STATORS

The invention is a new generation permanent heart assist device developed tobe installed into great arteries such as trans-aortic and trans-pulmonary artery tomaintain blood circulation of the patients with end-stage heart failure. This deviceuses a sort of brushless, synchronous, servo, electric motor which uses direct drivertechnology. Since it consumes little energy because of its small volume and extrordinarymotor design, it provides high blood flow with its long lasting battery.

The specially designed hollow rotor without a pivot pin which revolves on therollers made of nonabrasive ceramic-like materials provide enough blood flow tothe patient by pushing the blood forward with the helical winglets inside it. Thereare winglets smoothing blood flow in the inlet of the device and there are wingletsregulating turbulence in the blood flow in the outlet of the device. The risk ofthromboembolic events on the foreign surface that contacts with blood is less thanin the counterparts of this invented device which provides a flow similar to thenatural flow of aorta with the curved parts in the inlet and outlet of the device.

Instead of using magnetic bearings seramic bearings which are used in the devicemakes the device able to work for long years without needing maintance and alsoit will not provide a serious risk for human health.

Finally, the invention is a curved permanent heart assist device that is appliedon the aortas, reinforced twice with double stators and designed in smaller size sodoes not compresses the other surrounding tissues and organs.

ENDOVASCULAR HEART ASSIST DEVICE

The invention is a next generation miniature heart assist device which hasbeen developed for maintaining the blood circulation of patients with severeheart failure and is applied endovascularly to the large arteries such as theassending aorta and/or the pulmonary artery. This device is technically a kindof synchronous servo electric motor using "direct drive technology".

As it consumes much less energy because of its small volume and extraordinarydesign, it provides longer battery life and high blood flow. As the outer surfaceof the parts placed into the blood vessel will be completely covered with theendothelial cells and the intima layer of the arteries in time, there will be noforeign surface contacting directly with blood. As a result, no thromboembolicevent or any negative effect on the cellular components of blood is expected.

On the other hand if heart disease heals after a period of time or the rotorstops because of technical reasons, propellers will not constitute an obstacleto the artery blood flow. If the patient's heart does not heal, then heart assistdevice will remain connected to the patient's heart until his death and will runand continue to support the heart. The small size of the invented device alsomakes it possible for the device to make low volume compared to similiar ones.

The invention is a heart assist device developed to sustain blood circulationfor end-stage cardiac patients who does not respond to the treatment andis designed in a shape and magnitude which can be placed in anatomicallywide root sites of aorta and main pulmonary. Due to its low volume anduncommon motor design which does not have axial spindle in the rotor,the device will consume low amounts of energy.

Since the root sites of both aorta and main pulmonary are anatomicallywide after leaving the heart, assist device has a shape and magnitude whichcan be placed in these wide parts. Three-phase electric current requiredfor motor is supplied from an in-vitro source with simultaneous and wirelesstransfer of three-phase. Asynchronous motor with its wireless power transferapparatus in the body has been used for years and is a technology havingunexpected changes ever after. As regards to all in-vitro electric andelectronic apparatus, they will always be updated and changed easily withdeveloping technologies including microprocessor also. Invention is relatedwith permanent endovascular heart assist device including three-phase,brushless, asynchronous electric motor where the energy required is suppliedin-vitro three-phase wireless power transfer.

PERMANENT TOTAL ARTIFICIAL HEART DEVICE

The invention is about a permanent total artificial heart device thatis developed for the patients who are at the end-stage heart failureand included in the heart transplantation program, and which is placedinto the ventricles of the patient's heart completely or placed surgicallyinto the space obtained when a piece of ventricle is removed. Thedevice employs "direct drive technology" using motor and technicallybenefits from the advantages of brushless electric motors. Special-designed engines require quite little energy for the pulsatile blood flowproduced by stopping and starting synchronously with the ECG signals.By means of the invented permanent total artificial heart device system,we offer high quality of life for many years to the patients. And it alsoprotects the heart valves, heart conduction system with the uniquewireless charging system and longer battery life, invented device is arevolutionary solution for science world.

PULSATILE FLOW BLOOD PUMP

The invention is a blood pump that enables pulsatile blood flow and developed forthe cardiopulmonary by-pass machines and blood circulation support devices. This pumpconsists of a rotor which has helical wings inside and rotates frictionless in a magneticbearing but does not have a shaft and a stator that rotates it. Motor starts with systoleand stops with diastole synchronic to the ECG signals received from the patient, andprovides pulsatile blood flow.

The perfusion obtained through the pulsatile blood flow by the blood pump providesvital hemodynamic advantages when compared with non-pulsatile perfusion. Pulsatileblood flow is the physical blood flow model in a healthy subject. Pulsatile blood flow inthe circulation of the patient means extra energy transfer into the micro circulation, andthis extra kinetic energy helps to deliver the erythrocytes to the capillaries. The inventeddevice increases capillary circulation, helps lymph circulation, and as a result it affectscell metabolism positively by it’s uniqueness.

The invention, pulsatile blood pump, does not damage the shaped elements of blood,and provides safer and controlled pulsatile blood flow while running at high efficiencysince its interior surface that contacts with blood is narrow. Furthermore, as the partthat includes helical winglets is apart from the system and designed as a disposableplastic material another set will be used for each patient and there will be no risk for theinfection. To sum it all up, the blood flow generated by a quality cardiopulmonary by-pass machine or a blood circulation support device should be pulsatile and have thebenefits of our invented device by using it from now on.

AN EDUCATION SET FORCONGENITAL HEART DISEASES

Thus for we think that it should be used in the education field of medical facultiesand it will bring huge benefits both the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases.

Effort system designed for children starts with determination oftarget heart rate and rates at test stages by software after enteringpersonal information of the patient. The system introduces the gamevocally and illustrating interactively to provide adaptation of child patientto the selected game and game apparatus placed in the gloves whichwill transfer the motions to the system.

Currently, there aren't any leg adjustment mechanisms in manyof the produced systems. The mechanisms found, on the other hand, can be eitheradjusted after the user takes off the device or before using the device. In otherwords, leg length of external skeleton can be adjusted by these mechanismsdepending on the leg length of the user, however, the adjustment process is noteasy and practical. By means of leg adjustment mechanism in the content of ourinvention, the user will use the external skeleton ergonomically. Since all factors

covering and affecting the ankle of human anatomy are present also in anothermechanism, foot mechanism, superior support can be provided and the ankle ofthe user easily moves during walking motion as in human anatomy due to thedesign of juncture which can move in three axis (x-y-z) between foot and ankle ofthe external skeleton. In our invention, moreover, there is also a leg sensor mechanismwhich carries vertical forces of weights of external skeleton as well as transmitslateral interaction forces and at the same time, which determines the stage of thewalking of the user by controlling the interaction forces formed between upper legand the user. It is also required that lower extremity external skeleton should beconfidential for the patient during usage. Our invention necessitates taking theimages of objects which will be automatically recognized. The imagetaken will be used for the production of feature vectors that can beobtained from the marginal data and enables recognition of the objectindependent of noise, tendency and dimension after image processingstages such as smoothing. Problems emerging due to the subject,method and device of the invention, differences in lighting conditionsand noise are reduced by using a method based on marginal data. Atthe same time, it suggests to perform normalization of HOG featurevectors obtained in order to get rid of problems caused by the distancefrom the camera and from the production of the same object in differentdimensions. The label information and location information of the objectrecognized automatically will be informed to the robot unit that willprocess on the object by using the output obtained from ANN unitpresent within the content of our invention and the robot unit will carryout the processes recognized previously on the object.
