On Adulteration Tests

When a drug test has been administered, the biggest concern is whether or not the urine sample has been adulterated. Drug screens determine the presence of drugs in the donor’s urine but not the integrity of the urine sample. With commercial adulterants easily accessible, over 8% of all negative drug tests are false negatives. However, the actual number is unknown because routine laboratory tests do not pick up all possible adulteration products. It is also known that the newest generation of adulterants is able to disintegrate and become undetectable after its effects on the positive sample.

To identify urine adulteration, sample validity tests such as Intect® 7, ToxCup®, Monitect®, and Quicktox® are designed with built-in adulterant pads to confirm the integrity of the urine sample. Adulterants that can be detected include: Creatinine, Nitrite, pH and Oxidants.

IntectCheck® is designed to validate the performance of Intect®7 Urine Adulteration Test Strips. Used worldwide by Military & Police EOD units and first responders, the EOD vessels are designed for the transport and protection against Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and Unexploded Ordnance (UXO). These vessels are used to secure suspicious devices in a fully contained vessel and to transport them to a remote area or detonate them inside the vessel.

The vessels are designed to withstand repeated detonations with minimal maintenance. In accordance with user’s request the EOD vessels can be provided in Gas Tight configuration (GT) for protection against potentially harmful CBRNE threats.

Mistral Security’s Research and Development Detonation Chamber (the PDC 0.05) is designed for scientific investigations, research, development and testing of energetic materials. The PDC is designed and built in accordance with MIL-STD 398. The PDC increases efficiency of your laboratory by eliminating the need of transporting energetic material to an external detonation site, thereby allowing the laboratory to safely test energetic material on site.

Customarily, a company that conducts research and development of weapons, munitions or pyrotechnics utilizes the services of a company that specializes in the treatment and disposal of waste energetic material. The PDC offers a safe, flexible, low-cost environmentally sound alternative to the disposal of these waste energetic materials.

The ARC 10GT (Gas Tight) will prevent the dispersal of chemical/biological agents by containing and enclosing the explosion, thereby containing the risk of such threat up to 2 Kg (4.4 lbs) of TNT or equivalent.

EOD BLASTSAFE CONTAINERS

Description Used worldwide by Military & Police EOD units and first responders, the EOD vessels are designed for the transport and protection against Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and Unexploded Ordnance (UXO). These vessels are used to secure suspicious devices in a fully contained vessel and to transport them to a remote area or detonate them inside the vessel. The vessels are designed to withstand repeated detonations with minimal maintenance. In accordance with user’s request the EOD vessels can be provided in Gas Tight configuration (GT) for protection against potentially harmful CBRNE threats. The EOD vessels are provided with optional air sampling system, pressure release valve, and remote control operation. All vessels are available on a trailer

BLAST CONTAINMENT RECEPTACLES

Description Mistral Security’s Blast Containment Receptacles (BCRs) provide 360° lateral protection against fragmentation and blast pressure. The BCRs are utilized worldwide as a regular trash can in public areas.

The BCR can also be used as a safe receptacle to temporarily store suspicious objects until appropriate authorities arrive. The BCR is designed to protect against multiple threat levels of explosives. It is an ideal counter-terrorism security device for venues that draw large public gatherings that may become soft target for terrorist activities. Mistral’s BCRs have been proven in real-world events to minimize injury and death due to an explosive device being detonated inside a public trash can.

Mistral’s Blast Containment Receptacles are manufactured and tested in accordance with the new ASTM Standards E2740, E2639 that were sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security that provide for the functional design and method of testing blast resistant trash receptacles. In addition, our BCRs have been Safety Act approved by the Department of Homeland Security.

Mistral is a recognized leader in blast management systems and has placed thousands of its BCRs in hundreds of locations such as airports, metro rail

systems, passenger rail systems, and iconic buildings and sites. Our BCRs are available in hundreds of colors, stainless steel finish, and some models are available with lids depending upon the threat level under consideration.
