INew TSK Measuring SystemPerforms Continuous Radial' Scanning
TSK America has unveiled itsRadiance Radial Measuring System(RMS), a solution for complex rotarymeasuring challenges. The all-new RMSpermits unrestricted rotary scanning ofparts such as gears, turbine blades, conesand other shapes with reduced cycletimes and improved accuracy for com-plex measurements. The measuringrange of the RMS is 1m in diameter and.0.6 m vertically, yet the machine occu-pies less than 2.5 m2 of floorspace.
The Radiance Measuring Systemallows manufacturers to collect informa-tion quickly and accurately. Linear accu-racy in the X and Z axes is 2 microns;the U2 (X and Z axes) is 2.0 + U500microns. Angular accuracy is 3 arc-sec-onds ..Acceleration is 1000 mmls2 alongthe linear axes (X and Z) and 250 mrn/s?along the Y (round) axis. Measuringspeeds are up to 250 mmJs. "The mainadvantage to the Radiance is that for thefirst time ever, users can complete a fullradial scan.of a nonrotating part withoutprobe changes or reorientation," saidJack Epstein, TSK product manager anddeveloper of the Radiance concept. Guvson Introduces New Rotal'\'Indexing Blast System
Guyson Corporation announces theintroduction of the Model RXS-lOOOindexing spindle-blast machine. Thismidsized system is applicable to a widevariety of impact treatment operationssuch as shot peening, deburring, cos-metic finishing, etching and surfacepreparation, in which 360-degree cover-age is required on components that mustbe handled and blasted individually.
Up to 12 component-holding spindlesare located around the perimeter of themachine's 42" diameter indexing table.Components. more through separateentry, blast and airwash chambers. withinthe blast cabinet before returning to tbefront load/unload position. Vertical slid-ing doors, actuated by pneumatic cylin-ders, are available to seal the blast enclo-sure and isolate dust and noise from thework environment. The overall dimen-sions of the blast cabinet are approxi-mately 72" high by 55" wide by 80" deep(183 em x 140 em x 203 em). A fulldepth door with abrasion-protected viewwindows on each side of the cabinetenables full access for inspection, adjust-ment and maintenance, For more infor-mation contact John Carson, GuysonCorp., at (518) 587-7894 or via e-mail [email protected].

INew Small Parts Washer fromCincinnati Industrial MachineryCincinnati Industrial Machinery
introduces its small parts washer with aunique 360Q rotation and separationdesign. The washer feamres a special S-shaped track to guide round parts fromside to side to ensure complete andproper cleaning. Parts remain separatedthroughout the wash and blow off stagesvia stationary slots. The brass dryingtrays prevent the parts from marring, which occurs with other metal trays.

Mori Seiki Develo,ps New latheand Machining Cenler
Mari Seiki introduces the MT-250, alathe and machining center combinationthat reduces fixmring, increases productflow and gives greater accuracy on verycomplex work pieces.
"The MT-250 is the new standard inintegrated machining and is the ultimatemachine for parts requiring multipleprocesses." said William Jone •NationalSales Manager for Morl Seiki. "We havegone beyond the conventional level oftechnology to create a machine that inte-grates full-scale turning and milling.Combining the lathe operations andmachining center allows for more accu-rate work pieces and the elimination ofextra handling in the shop."
The MT-250 features headstock onboth the 1efl and right sides, makingsetuptime shorter and promising highprecision machining. The spindle de-sign features the turning range from -90
degrees to +90 degrees, making obliquemachining possible. The MT~250 alsohas an automatic tool. changer thai car-ries 20 tools attached to the saddle. Theautomatic jaw changer eliminates semphassles when work pieces vary or requiremultiple machining. or more informa-tion. contact William Jones at (972) 929-8321 or by fax at (972) 929-0730.
