POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics offers a broad range of implants for body contour correction. The standard program includes breast implants as well as pectoral, gluteal, testi cular and calf implants plus a wide choice of expanders. Custom-made implants complement this ample portfolio.Compression wear and products for scar treatment complete a product range specialised in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.

At POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics, we are focused on silicone-gel filled breast implants. Our standard products are Microthane® (micropolyurethane foam) covered implants and POLYtxt® implants. Medical studies have given evidence that implants with these surfaces show a reduced tendency to cause capsular contracture. The parti cularly high efficiency of the micropolyurethane surface has been documented in numerous medical studies and publi cations. Additionally, we offer POLYsmooothTM (smooth shell) implants and MESMO®sensitive (micro-textured shell) implants.

Since 1995, POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics has applied and certified a quality management system based on the ISO 13485 standard. Regarding raw material selection, product development, manufacturing, sterilisation, quality control, storage, sales and customer service, all specifications exacted from a certified company are met and continually verified. Products made by POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics have the mark and our breast implants are class-III certified medical devices approved by a Notified Body. This means, our products fulfill all standards required for medical devices in Europe.

Microthane®

An implant-shell cover of medical-grade micropolyurethane foam. This surface is known for its reliability and has been proven to contribute to a sizable reduction of capsular contracture rates to 0 – 3 %1.

POLYtxt®

A textured implant-shell surface (50 % reduced capsular contracture risk than with smooth implants)2.

The POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics Diagon\Gel® 4Two implants are filled with two highly cross- linked, cohesive, form-stable clear gels: the softer EasyFit Gel™ at the posterior and the firmer Shapar Gel™ at the anterior.

The softer gel at the posterior of the implant ensures that the implant molds smoothly to the rib cage and provides for a natural movement of the breast. The firmer gel at the anterior and the dome-shaped projection facilitate nipple positioning and support the residual breast tissue in push-up style.

The most common complication of breast-implant surgery is capsular contracture. Implants covered in a medical-grade micropolyurethane foam suited for longterm implantation have been developed to minimize the event of capsular contracture as well as implant dislocation and rotation. The POLYTECH brand name for this type of implant shell surface is Microthane®.

In extensive clinical studies reviewing large numbers of patients, the

capsular contracture rates (Baker classification III – IV) have been determined. For polyurethane-foam-covered implants placed in virgin tissue, the capsular contracture rate is 0 – 9 % compared to 9 – 50 % for other implants; in most of the big studies, the capsular contracture rate for polyurethane-foam-covered implants is as low as 0 – 3 %.1 Moreover, POLYTECH Microthane® implants are the safe choice for both, primary breast augmentation and 2-stage breast recon struction, even in case of radiation treatment.2

The POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics Diagon\Gel® 4Two implants are filled with two highly cross- linked, cohesive, form-stable clear gels: the softer EasyFit Gel™ at the posterior and the firmer Shapar Gel™ at the anterior.

The softer gel at the posterior of the implant ensures that the implant molds smoothly to the rib cage and provides for a natural movement of the breast. The firmer gel at the anterior and the dome-shaped projection facilitate nipple positioning and support the residual breast tissue in push-up style.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

All expanders with remote valve are delivered incl. a large valve (compartment diameter ca. 17 mm, outer diameter ca. 34 mm). A small valve (compartment diameter ca. 11 mm, outer diameter ca. 22 mm) may be ordered separately (order n° 72005, see below).

All expanders with integrated valve are delivered with a magnet finder. Additional magnet finders can be ordered separa-tely (order n° 20738-012, see below). All integrated valves are equipped with a permanent magnet.

WARNING: expanders with integrated magnets are not eligible for patients having pace-makers or patients who need an MRI examination during the implantation period.
