Mission-: A organisation mission is its reason for being. The mission is often expressed in the form of a mission statement, which conveys a sense of purpose to employees and project a image to this world, In strategy it set a mood to organisation that what to do.
Example – Mar Orbiter Mission (MOM)/ Mangalyaan Mission of ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation) was to reach at Mars
Objectives-:Objectives are concrete goal which the organization seek to reach. The objectives should se challenging but achievable, They also should be measurable so that organisation can monitor its progress and make correction as needed
MOM Objectives-:Is to develop the technologies required for design, planning, management and operations of an interplanetary mission 1. Technology Objective2. Scientific Objective
Situation Analysis-:• Once the organisation has specified its objectives, it begins
with its current situation to devise a strategic plan to reach those objectives. Changes in the external environment often present new opportunities and new ways to reach the objectives
• By this organisation get to know its own capabilities and limitation in order to select the opportunities that it can pursue with higher probability of success
• Situation Analysis have both factor External and Internal Environment
i. External Environment have two aspects-: Macro Environment- It affect all the firms, include
PEST analysis Micro Environment- It affect only the firm , include
firm operating
ii. Internal Environment consider following situation
Organisation cultureOrganisation image Organisation structure Key staffAccess of natural resourcesPosition on the experience curve Financial resources
Strategy Formulation-:Once a clear picture of the firm and its environment is in hand specific strategy alternatives can be developed. While different firms have different alternative depending on their situation
If we talk about MOM(Mars Orbiter Mission)When the team got clear view of the condition which will occur in the space while launching the Mangalyaan, they started developing the strategy, so that no hindrance occurs, and things goes in a plan way.
Implementation-:
For Effective implementation, it needs to be translated into more detailed policies that can be understood at the functional level of the organisation.
The Implementation phase involves identifying the required resources and putting into place the necessary organizational changes
Launching of MOM
Control:-• Once Implemented the result of the strategy need to
measure and evaluate with changes made as required to keep the plan on track
• Control system be developed and implemented to facilitate this monitoring
• Standard of performance are set, the actual performance measured, and appropriate action taken to ensure success.
